Compare factory installed options of a Scion vs. a Toyota/Honda/VW/Subaru.

I can tell you what Scion offers and it aint all that great. That is what I can tell you.

I'm worried less about the options that the factory can install than I am about how easy it is to take off the crap I don't need

I think I just facepalmed so fucking hard I might have scarred my future grandson.

It almost feels like Toyota broke up with us and said it isn't you, it is us.

:word: Don't think I have anything else left to say.

Rebadge is such a ricer thing to do. Like put a GTR badge on your Civic Si or a BMW M badge on your GTI. Please no rebadging. Please. Just bring it as a Toyota like it should be. Scion already has their stripped down version/uninspiring cars for the masses. This car is not meant for the masses.

Could be a baby FT with two seats, don't pass judgments everyone till you seen it and know it. It might not be as bad as we enthusiast think, heck hate it much? ripp the scion badge out and put on a Toyota. And Also it's not a ricer thing to do it's what more of what a purist do because the definition of being purist is to keep the car as close to it's Japanese counter part as possible.

Scion> Toyota ok

GTR>Scion Not ok

btw... it's RED O___O

skatecboy45 04-13-2011 05:21 PM

Damn. It definitely does suck that its going to be badged as a scion in the US. But honestly as long as it still looks as sharp as it does, and is hopefully powered by a turbo boxer, I dont care. I can rip the badges off and slap some toyota ones on there if I need to.

Giccin 04-13-2011 05:22 PM

Gross.

Ichi. Lets write letters to Toyota JP.

LOL

Well then hopefully they will just be smart and release a Toyota model with better everything lol.

I don't think it will be dumbed down, it will cost a lot of extra money to make it too much different than the JDM/Euro Toyota badged one. I suspect the only thing affected will be the packaging and options of the car, and as far as I know, the TC was offered with a supercharger, and if they can offer that as an option on the TC, think of what they can do with this.

As long as they keep to the 200hp/2700 pound RWD 6speed formula, I'm good.

There isn't anyone on here that want's a Scion branded Hachi over a Toyota. There are only people who want a Toyota over a Scion, and the others can care less what badge is on it.

This isn't about my tC, I asked a question, has nothing to do with what I did with my own car.

I don't need to compare the factory installed options, I own a Scion remember, I know what it comes with. You made a comment, and imo...perhaps you should compare the standard and factory options offered for cars that are in the same pricing structure as a Scion model.

Since you can't answer my question, I can only assume one of two things. A) You don't know what you are talking about, or B) You are trying to compare to cars that are above the Scion pricing structure and making it as if the Scion has poor factory options.

No, no, no. Your example isn't called "Rebadging", that's called "been stupid". Nothing ricer bout rebadging and putting proper emblem on the car. If this come out in Toyota in Japan & Scion in US. It the same thing. Toyota did same thing w SC & GS series. If you see stock looking Lexus GS series that had a Toyota Aristo in US just emblem is changed, you would call that "ricer"? If you are, then I have nothing to say.

You can always take off all of emblems off... or just buy Subie ver

Ford of all companies does a terrible job translating their euro models to the US. Look at the focus.... yeesh.

actually the JDM ver of the 300zx came TT in the 2+2 and had a longer production run then it did in the US. Also our prices are way off base for most cars. same goes for hp numbers
