Thanks man. Seems like a simple step but I didn't think to use that connector as the wires appeared to be too short to reach across the light.

Now I have DRL again. No more ticket worries.

Great write up. I followed the instructions and the results were awesome. Thanks.

You are not making it easy to stop messing with the car.

Can anyone take a close up of their headlight?

I have mine pulled apart right now and I find the new H1 are tiny for the size hole there is.

I can clearly see into the headlight and see the wiring behind it all

This is actually a good picture making the gap look a lot lessen

Did you tighten the bolts that mount the lens to the bracket all the way? They're pretty hard to turn with one hand.

Mr.Jay 10-23-2012 10:45 PM

the 4 screws that hold the projector to the basket onto the custom bracket?

With the nut washers right? I did. Its not a bad fit but it clearly doesnt cover the whole area like the original ones did (since they actually have another black piece that sticks out

Mr.Jay 10-23-2012 10:53 PM

okay so I'm good to put them in then. I was thinking of making a cover but I won't have time oh well I plan to tear the lights apart again some time next summer

ninjasaurusrex 10-24-2012 12:57 PM

ok so im guessing you all bought this system (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=254)

it's an h1 bulb if i'm not mistaken. i just need to wrap my head around this...do they have a plug that converts it from a h11 to a h1?
