Hi Frank,

Sounds like a superb offer, and looks like you do great work (tasty pics of the Focus RS on your homepage!). Please put me down for it as well.

1. Late Oct/Nov
2. Option 2

Thank you, and thanks to FT86_Zero for organising this.

2. Or I will add value to your deal and Opti Coat your wheels, plastics and rubbers, side/rear glass and headlights/tail lights at no extra cost (coating the windscreen is illegal therefore I will not endorse it)

Thanks for the offer Frank - I'm interested in option 2 also. Just wondering whether Opti-coating the windows should be done after or before a tint - does it matter at all? Thanks.

Cheers for this Frank!

I'm in for option 1. Late July most likely.

Thanks!

Hi Sticky,

It doesn't matter mate, either way is fine. We only do the exterior of the glass and don't touch the inside.

Once again thanks for the commitment guys! I look forward to making the 86's the shiniest cars on the road.

Rest assured that every single car I do gets treated like my own - and gets the necessary amount of attention to make it as visually perfect as possible.

Had my car OptiGuarded by Frank yesterday. He showed great attention to detail and if he could see an issue, he'd fix it.

The way I think about the OptiGuard process is 95% paint preparation, 5% OptiGuard application. It's really important to get the vehicle looking as good as it can before applying the OptiGuard, which effectively then locks that goodness in. And Frank never once gave me the impression he'd rather be lazy and save a few bucks or minutes of his time rather than doing a proper job. Recommended.

My only small suggestion would be thinking carefully about your intended washing and optiguard location to help him do the best job he can. I'm sure Frank can help guide you on this.

A few action shots have been posted on my journal thread.

Put me down for this. my gts is coming in approximately october. Option 2.

Would anyone care to share the price for the opti-guard vs opti-coat?

Hi Benoh,

Thank you for your interest. We only use Opti Guard as it is the version that gives you your warranty.

Opti Coat is the consumer grade product that is DIY. Basically a diluted version of Opti Guard. I would highly advise against this unless you have experience preparing duco to accept coatings/sealants and also experience in applying such products. Incorrect application will damage your clear coat.

From memory the DIY kit is $99.

cool that's good then. I was looking to probably get the opti guard done anyway.
Was actually thinking a clear bra around the whole car, but that shine and the way the water just falls right off it has got me!

Will contact you once I get the car.
