First time on this thread… (not sure why)
Tulsa, OK
Argento (silver)
Purchased 07/12

Count me in for any possible meet opportunities. Looks like there is plenty of people willing, just need to have someone step up that's willing to name a time and place. I'm in Tulsa, if anyone wants to take the trip up I can arrange something. The Admiral Twin Drive-In is a possible venue up here. I know the person that runs the place. I might be able to get some accommodations if we had enough people. It’s still a good place to meet even if there is just a few of us. It looks like most of the people on this thread are more near OKC. I’d be willing to travel there if it’s more convenient for others. Let’s throw out some ideas.

Dr. BRZ 04-16-2013 01:00 AM

yeah i was there too. i met mo8ius. i went searching for other brz's and frs's drivers. i came across convoy's white brz then went back to my brz and saw nubbster's wrb brz parked in between an sti and wrx. after i checked out mo8ius's asphalt, liked the pinstripe. im sorry guys but that guy draging the white frs made me so mad, i dont know about you guys but it made feel bad because he was either shifting wrong or whatever but he made the brz/frs's look horrible. after i saw his horrible drags, i actually went to try to register my brz for the drags but i was too late. @ convoy is it you that i mostly see on lake hefner park way going north and around the lowes on 39th and may?

It might be, but I can't say I'm around 39th & May very often. I do take Hefner Parkway North every day but I get on at 63rd.

Seeing as how this thread has picked up lately I figure I'll mention I registerered OKC86.com a month or two ago. I had planned on working on it bit I have been distracted by other projects. Does anyone think I/We should start putting something together? I was also worried that the OKC part might discourage owners from other cities?

Saw a blue BRZ driving down 150th (33rd) earlier today. And saw it (or another one) at that new Pork & Gas place on memorial between Portland and May.... whatever the hell that place is. Dr?

Any FR-S owner want to be a tester for some led switchback bulbs? All I need is a video of them in operation. I already have the install guide made.

Pm me if you're down.

jimbobrand 04-17-2013 08:48 AM

Hey guys! I know I've posted this a few times before but you might want to check out http://www.oksc.org/. It's a Subaru owners forum based in Oklahoma, it's full of good guys who have been around Subarus for a long time. There is a ton of knowledge there and several regular meets in OKC and Tulsa that you guys could join in on.

They turned out pretty good but some spots are kinda thin on the red and there's a bit of orange peel(probably a result of my limited painting skills).

P.S. It feels like the can is still pretty full if you want what's left of the Red. Definitely seems like enough to do another set(to me at least). Sadly though the clear coat is a two-part that is only good for 24hrs after you mix it.

Looks like it turned out pretty good to me! I have some vinyl overlays that I haven't put on the car yet. I wanna see how that goes before painting it but I'm hesitant to put it on myself because I know I'll mess it up. Anyone know of a good place that'll install overlays over the tail lights? A friend told me Superior Tint would do it but I'd like a couple more options just in case.

Haha I was disappointed with that too. Looks like he messed up his 1-2 shifts, and I bet he was reluctant to clutch dump at 5k rpm like the magazines do for the best times haha. Car looked great though! And those wheels are pricey.
Btw, what exhaust do you have on your car? Looks cool.

mo8ius 04-18-2013 05:09 PM

I noticed that exhaust as well, and am interested to know.

nubbster, it was one of the first exhaust that came out for the twins, i got it from sirmc back when he got it to test it out, in the end he ended up trading his frs into a wrx.

to mo8ius and nubbster, the brand is ISIS. its a pretty good exhaust, it has a deep tone to it @ start up and especially when i rev it up. best part, there is no drone @ all.

Yep, saw a new silver FR-S (I think) with a fresh dealer tag on it today. Guy totally spotted me scoping him out, as did I him. :)

meow_mix 04-23-2013 12:41 AM

And talked to a guy in north OKC with a black FRS. Said he had his car for 2 weeks and he worked at a Scion dealership.

Life kind of sucks for me right now until the semester ends. After that: Meet time.

meow_mix 04-26-2013 01:20 AM

Ooohhh, very nice sub setup there.

By the way, here's a car show in OKC you guys might want to hit up just to check other cars out. I unfortunately can't make it because I have to work but I went last year and there were some cool cars there. (Mostly muscle, but still fun).

TFCU’s 13th Annual Miracle Car Show will be held Saturday, April 27, at the credit union’s operations center located at 4140 W. I-40. The event starts at 9:00 a.m.and goes until 3:00 p.m. All proceeds from this popular event benefit Children’s Miracle Network.

Pretty sure it's too late to register, but it's worth checking out if you're nearby.

My dad and a bunch of his Cobra buddies will be there... quite a few of them.

Went a couple of years ago. You won't win anything there unless you have an old car. Nice charity though.

meow_mix 04-27-2013 02:47 AM

I guess last year they started a sports compact category. This will be their second year doing it.

meow_mix 04-28-2013 02:25 AM

So, the hail raped my car... had no clue it was even coming or supposed to happen.

Roof, trunk, rear quarter panels, fenders, driver's side headlight, and OMFG the hood...

I hate this state sometimes. :(

Must have just been a bad weekend for FR-S's. Some young chick rear-ended me. She wasn't going fast thank goodness. There's no visual damage that I can see so not as bad you you hail damaged guys but it put me in some major kind of panic mode. I'm taking it to the dealer on Monday to have them double check everything.

jeffchap 05-24-2013 01:38 AM

I got caught in that hailstorm on 4/27 too, at Penn and Memorial. Totaled the car. Fortunately, the car was my 2009 Honda Fit. Sooooo, with the insurance money, let me introduce:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44...ps8613a88d.jpg

Bought it last Tuesday at Hudiburg, although I live in Edmond. Bob Moore only had a firestorm automatic on hand, and I wanted a manual. Other than mine, I've only ever seen two others on the streets around here, a white FR-S and a blue BRZ, and have only seen each of them once. At this price and this much fun, I can't understand why everyone isn't driving one.

mo8ius 05-24-2013 08:31 AM

Well played sir. I'm impressed you found a stick on a lot. I've still only ever found autos sitting.

Hi everyone. My name is Zach and I'm a proud new owner of a BRZ Limited (blue pearl) in Tulsa, OK. Just picked it up from Ferguson Subaru this morning.

Been haunting the forums for a couple weeks while I made my decision, and now that I officially own one I decided to create an account. Thrilled that there is already such a great community around this car!

nubbster927 06-11-2013 07:33 PM

Ruckus 06-12-2013 09:10 AM

So, where do you guys in Tulsa take yours for maintenance?

In my Honda, I loved 4-star automotive. They only did Hondas and Acuras, and had a great reputation in town.

Hi everyone,
I'm another owener of a BRZ Limited . I purchased it in April and I'm totally in love with the car. I got an automatic so my wife could drive it and I'm happy using the paddles. The automatic is as smooth as can be and I don't have to mess with a clutch. I put in enough time with a stick while driving my Camero and 280Zx
The only modifications I want to make right off is to put under body paneling for protection and then we'll start with some cosmetic changes What do you think?
By the way I live in Tulsa and the color of the Blue Lady is WRX Blue with red ( color of stiching on seats ) and baby blue pin striping done by the Wizard. They got it in Lees Summit kansas. Thanks and let me know what you think, Bernie G
I'll post some pictures soon

I've had my Toyotas and Lexus serviced at Stellar motors on 61st and Greg, the owener said since the scion and Subaru are basically the same he'll take care of my Subaru. My Lexus has 187000 miles on it and it runs like new so you can see he knows what he's doing. Good Luck, Bernie G
