Dang, I shouldn't told you my setup in the race. Now, you're smoking me in all the corners now. :) O'well, I kinda have good setup for my FT86c, now just need lil bit more adjusting on damper/springs and we should have good race.

Kudo's to you though man, thanks for pointing out I had to soft of a rear. Definitely noticed a difference right away. Rear stays planted now, allowing me to go faster. It's cool to see where the two cars differ at on the Deep Forest. I'm sure there is some tweaking to be had still.

That explains a lot with Ich's FT86c vs my GSport. The GSport with all options added achieves a HP of only 410hp. Max weight reduction is like 920kg.

So, no wonder the FT86c N/A can keep up with the GSport when both are maxed.

Only way to make or break a race is Driver and Suspension settings between the two. Otherwise they are identical with the FT86c having the advantage of weighing less and having only 9hp less.


By they way, save your pics and then go into your gallery. When you view the pics in the gally, there is an option to Export to XMB. Export the pic, then when you exit the game you will have whatever pics in your PS3 photo gallery. From there you can upload to Facebook, or stick in a USB stick and upload there to transfer to the computer and upload via Photobucket or whatever.

Also NA FT86c is reving up til close to 10k RPM while turbo is tunning bout 9k, so NA got few extra push at the top end... but G's have spoiler to keep the rear down. I wish, regular ver can install GT wing

i get 56' on tsukuba with really bad lines on all three hair pins, but when the tires warm up fully i cant get a proper line on the last corner, it keeps either skipping till it almost falls of the track or if i turn in harder i end up in the pit lane :( i wish the driving force gt wheel wasnt on back-order australia wide.. . i think i need to do a little more work on the suspension to get it more suited.

hm... that means you're having too understeering in high speed when tires warmed up. What's your damper & camber setup? oh & prob wanna upload the pics in pic area instead of here... but it looks hella awesome!

Well damn, guess I'm going to be tuning up an N/A FT86c then. 10k rpms and still making 400hp...damn. They definitely compensated for the C not having a turbo.

So far the FT has been my most used/driven car.

Man you had your FT86c setup nicely w Sports tires. IDK how you were accelerating. When I changed it out to Sports tire (Hard), I couldn't accelerate at all, tires were just spinning and not going anywhere. You had me in acceleration for sure! 3 secs is all I can run away from you, even though I spun out and once had round 8 secs difference you catch up hella fast. Next time we'll have race w others here too & don't forget to get Racing tires (soft), cuz Dragon can't drive w sports tires, he just runs in circles w em lol j/k Dragon. :bellyroll:

Yeah just problem is oversteering. Gotta set up the rear suspension nice and grip or you just spin out. btw where were you. I just had a race w Calais! He could get fast if he get the Racing tires and adjusted to no TCS.

Oh and on our races I know it's No TCS and Driving Line Off, but do you turn off Skid Recovery Force, Active Steering & ASM?

I'm doing some work right now, so I haven't jumped on. Plus the woman is watching the news (crap load of snow and 100+ wrecks out on the roads). And the only thing I leave on in our races is Skid Recovery. I've ran without Skid Recovery before as well though, so not afraid to turn that off too. But yes, all aids are set to off when we have ran.

Il try changing my camber more positive, right now it's a little too negative I think. Also my ride is much lower than standard (10 I think)

400hp n/a flat 4 that revs to 10k huh. why can't real life be like that? sounds like a formula atlantic flat 4 lol.

ic, I only take off TSC, so I need to adjust the FT86c the way you play.

It's good idea to have TSC off. FT86c turns better that way. Also I have my FT86c drop -10 too. I gotta make it look cool at the same time drive hella fast! :) Yeah go to practice and tweak around your camber and damper.

But don't forget, adding Stage 1, 2, & 3 engine tuning take bout 50k credit, so just for engine spent that much money ($50k), I'll bet ya it's possible to make 400hp NA that revs up to 10k. :)

Ah that makes sense! I was looking in the Open Lobby and even finding someone there is hella rare. I was racing my buddies yesterday and they just created a new group/race track etc.

I like Ichi's setup too, with less toe settings and even raced my buddy Jon who just won the FT. I know a wing will help it even more but I don't want to put one on due to the ricey-ness

It was hilarious b/c his was car was all over the place so I didn't mention that Racing Tires are a must TILL after the race! :bellyroll:

Glad you liked my setup. If you have custom tranny, it helps match up w different courses, so it might shave down another 0.2~0.3sec of the time (easy). From there just adjust here & there you match the way you drive.

Yeah, my setup is just a baseline tuning for Racing tires, so you can customize the way you like.

Actually I wish I can put GT spoiler... but they won't let me. I can't so only G's FT86c have it... but I don't wanna loose that 10k rev limit

And even the wing on the GSport can't be adjusted, from what I can remember.

Man, we had a 4 FT86c race tonight/today. Want.FR-S, 70NYD, Jay4prez & me. It was pretty hard race w Sport tires (soft), but I think we had fun time (well I did anyways). Jay cheating w his new G27. Now, only thing he's missing is playseat.:thumbsup:

Tsukuba race was awesome. First race, I win, second Jay and last one, Want.FR-S was doing good til we got heated up and bump here and there :bellyroll: also some notice we cannot write "TSUKUBA" wonder why?

I have 2 of each FT86c, so I've setup one for Sports tires and one for Racing tires... but man, sports tire races are harder than racing tires, no grip.

sports tires work very well for drift, esp sports hard, soft work too but :p
best combo is sports on back racing soft on front
haha nah im not that hot tempered to just quit :p i did find that my comp mic works with the ps3 (like i said ps3 newb here) so thats pretty kewl :D

I have PS3 Sony bluetooth, so I don't have to push anything. Just turn on da bluetooth & off I go. :)
