They have not logged on since August

7thgear 09-24-2012 09:35 AM

after the Perrin thread, where they meticulously dynotest all the components, i'm wondering if this design is too radical for the OEM fuelmaps.

I'm guessing a tune would be a necessity?

They stated at the start that it would include an ecu piggyback to compensate.

Their main goal was getting caught up on the exhaust systems. Then they were going to focus on the intake.

Not all the carbacks are done. So no go.

TwinRz 11-04-2012 07:16 PM

Any updates on this?

RedRocket 11-04-2012 07:28 PM

Damn it all these new posts, but no Dyno, and Price? I got excited when I saw the thread held new posts! I don't honestly see myself getting FI in the next 2 years, but really want it.. I just won't have enough money for it, and don't wanna jump out of warranty already... I'll prolly settle for Intake, Exhaust, Tune for the next 2 years... This so far looks like one of the most promising intakes.

Spartan65 11-04-2012 07:52 PM

THe one thing that concerns me is that there is no one adding air straighteners near the MAF area.

Coheed 11-04-2012 08:02 PM

You get better laminar airflow with a honeycomb straighteners than just a blade. I don't think it is absolutely necessary in NA applications, but certainly can benefit whenever there are serious bends before or after the maf. I like to see around 4-6" of straight by the MAF sensor on NA, and up to 1' on Blow-through FI setups.

Just get the Syms Racing Intake if you care so much about keeping the air straightner.

Shit I would love the Syms w/ a Zeta Silicone Tube and that new drop in that claims 10 whp. That would be a sweet set up.

Or even email.....Mo responded quickly when I emailed him last week.

swong46 12-01-2012 01:02 AM

Where is the CFD tests? Post up your plots please.
Looks like tons of turbulence will occur inside that box and high pressure zone right behind the air horn at the inlet.

Furtive 12-17-2012 12:21 AM

bump! i would like to know the status :)

Furtive 03-02-2013 05:44 PM

The OP has not posted anything on this entire site since mid Aug last year.

If you want answers, do what others have suggested in this thread.

Then go the email route fellas if Civicdrivr got him to respond.

Otherwise post away, but your not going to get your answers from them on this forum.

Exactly...the few, and I mean very few, who got the initial batch of their exhausts seem to be happy, after that they could not handle the volume, lost people, etc. I literally almost bought this thing. Going Nameless instead, thank goodness.

IMHO, you would be a moron to spend any money with them, for anything they make/do, given how they handled the exhaust situation. Now don't take me as some hater, because I fully understand that they appear to be a very small group that got overwhelmed. However, they could have easily refunded people's money instead of the bullshit they dished out to their customers. For that they will never see a penny from me.

Yea, I dont know why theyve given up on this forum. When I was at the shop Mo had one of his friends FR-S' there. Thats what they were doing all the prototyping on, so it looks like they were going to make quite a few parts for the car. Mo was even telling me about the turbo setup they were supposed to have available in mid January. But now....nothing.

Frankly I could care less why....but really I think it is very clear to most everyone why they have given up on this forum.
I was only providing information to the users in this thread so they would not waste any more time posting.

Again...given their track record here, it would be a huge risk to buy anything from them.
Everyone take your money elsewhere.

This thread should be closed........

These are not the vendors you are looking for

WolfsFang 03-02-2013 09:34 PM

Sad, this was a intake i was really looking to buy.

civicdrivr 03-02-2013 10:15 PM

@Zgrinch - Agreed. After the whole exhaust group buy fiasco, I wouldn't buy another thing from them. But back when I was at the shop (months ago), I was giving Mo and the rest of the guys at SRT the benefit of the doubt. But the horror stories about no communication are still running rampant, which says there's a much bigger problem within the shop then just "firing a few people" that's causing these issues.

Wow, I had never seen a design like this so I am very excited and looking forward to the final product with dyno numbers!:w00t:
