I run the W4 at the track and personally I find them too noisy for every day. For a mixed duty pad the W3 might be a better choice.

If you're ok with the odd squeek, I would go with Ferodo DS2500, Project mU HC800+, Carbotech AX6 or XP8 (XP8 being more aggressive) or WinMax W3 or W4 (W4 being more aggressive).

TougeTuning carries Ferodo, JRP carries Project mU, Ewald Performance (http://www.ewaldperformance.com/) carries Carbotech, but I'm not sure if anyone localish carries WinMax.

Thanks for the update and suggestions.

I'm fine with the odd noise. I was looking at the Ferodo and P Mu pads. I signed up for the SPDA membership last night. Just need my application to be processed and for @Stav to reply to my PM now on the P Mu pricing.

Out of curiousity, which Carbotech pads should one consider. I looked and they seem to be an application specific as opposed to the others which are marketed as hybrids.

@jvincent - has the golf game suffered now that you have this car?

I just got a quote for the XP8's with a pending SPDA membership, I can tell you it's pretty close to buying them stateside, but in his price there are no hidden costs, unlike the duties, taxes, etc. lottery game you play with USPS/Canada Post.

TT's website got Fubar'd when they updated it - Ferodo DS2500 can no longer be found for the twins

Golf game no. Wallet yes.

I do have to make choices every now and then though. For example, there's a track day I'm going to miss because it's the member-guest at my club and I'm taking my brother. :(

They still carry Ferodo. I emailed them a month ago for a quote on the DS2500.

Beginner sold out
Intermediate sold out

We're taking names on a waiting list for both.

Still some advanced spots left.

Skurj 05-08-2015 08:41 PM

hooold it... half are gonna be 86's? believe it when I see it! Looking forward to seeing all the twins out there!

Frank Ewald of http://www.ewaldperformance.com/ (Waterloo) hooked me up with carbotech pads if anyone is in need but order them soon!

I ran XP10 front and rear for the OTA school last weekend at the DDT and no complaints, though real noisey on the street.

drewbot 05-08-2015 10:14 PM

Still waiting for my weird SPDA registration bug to be fixed (no idea!!!?) And then was going to get some XP8s from Frank

wparsons 05-08-2015 10:41 PM

You mean club registration, right Drew? I've got you confirmed for the lapping day.

drewbot 05-08-2015 11:40 PM

Yes....

wparsons 05-12-2015 09:03 AM

Have you been in contact with Bryce? Hopefully it gets sorted out asap!

If you're still looking for pads, contact Frank and let him know what's happening. I'm sure he'll work with you to get them to you.

As for the lapping day... down to the last couple Advanced spots available if anyone is still looking for one!

drewbot 05-12-2015 09:19 AM

@wparsons, yes, Bryce set me up and I got some pads ;)
