Well my painter is painting the hood and S/P cover this weekend, and I'm putting lower pro front tires on the soup, I know you did a lot of photo shopping for me snaps and I appreciate it, but I'm going a diff way with the hood, this is basically how it will be sept my color(Ren. Red)
http://i819.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_1434.jpg
http://i819.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_2886.jpg
http://i819.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_9727.jpg

I think I'm gonna have him leave the smaller vent I'n the back of the hood unpainted(unlike the last two pics) also leave more of the rear part of the middle vents unpainted where it starts to come down, opinions? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Snaps 01-11-2011 06:00 PM

No prob about the photoshops :) I'm happy to help.

I'm a little confused about your suggestion though lol. I get the rear vent part and leaving it CF, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'leave more of the rear part of the middle vents unpainted'

Does that mean you're going to paint the middle vents a little bit or have I understood it wrong lol? XD Or are you meaning you're going to have the sides (where the vents attach to) as CF?

I mean behind the vents where the hood goes from being a hood to starting the curve down In to the vent, right where it starts to make the transition, leaving that CF

So basically if you look at those pics of the white supra, the 7-8 inches of area that leads into the back vents will stay CF, does that help?

BoostJunkie 01-12-2011 08:10 AM

Also this is what the under side will look like sept Ren. Red.

So you're meaning part of the actual 'flat' hood part closest to the driver, as well as the rear vent (where the 'flat' hood part bends to form the vent) in CF?

That could look pretty cool :)

My buddy's (and landlord) Mk3 is now featured in Import Tuner Magazine. Oddly it's not on their website yet, but I'm holding the mag (April 2011??? It's February dammit!) in my hand. Yellow 450 HP (400WHP) FD RX-7 and Arika Sato (sugo kawaii!) are on the cover. Buddy's Supra is on page 26. 1015 WHP 7MGTE! He's a bit bitter that he didn't get the cover ("My car has over twice the power of that rotary!").

There are some minor parts that I've machined in that car.

It'll take a miracle for me to make it to Tx2K11 or Vegas. PacNW again.

Here's a vid from last year.

I'm pulling out in the center frame at 2:45, black RHD Mk3.
Edit: And at 5:14 between the red Mk4 and the R32 Skyline.

And Duane's fly-by. (closed course)

Very nice, you top movie didn't post, why a Mir to come to those events?

C-Bone, I like his white supra too, it's nasty I hope mine is that quick here next year when I finally go apu, and put me a new Borg Warner efr turbo on the soup

Dimman 02-13-2011 05:42 PM

Money. A miracle if I have the money. Need money to sort out a bunch of little issues with the Supra (Texas is a LONG drive from Canada). Need money for the events.

And I have a prior commitment to go to Japan, which is going to suck up about $3000+ once I get that together.

The new Borg Warner's are pretty sick. DSport magazine 100th issue comes with a Borg Warner poster with the record-breaking Sierra-Sierra Evo.

Yeah they have been posting like crazy on sf about the bw turbos, and the Dyno graph for the sierra Sierra evo is on there, I can not wait to get the turbo and manifold in
