Also, I try to park next to another vehicle, with my side next to the passenger side of the other vehicle (the vehicle may not have a passenger) and I can choose the distance between those two vehicles.

Of course, parking next to a 4 door car is better than a 2 door (shorter doors).

I try to avoid cars/trucks/SUVs with child seats (cause when mama comes out with the screaming kid, flings open her car door and is trying to stuff it into a car seat) ...... YOUR car is the last thing on her mind.....!!

But my favorite defense is this, sitting with the pin half out ..... :paddle:

LOL!

You might be "detained" for a while ... in Gitmo, maybe.

Don't do it. We'd miss you. ;)

Is the NSA reading this?

All kidding aside, maybe we should terminate this exchange, before we're terminated.

I can't believe there are actually people trying to defend double parking. I hear parking your car at home in your garage is the best way to avoid going to a body shop.

Oh, it's quite stable. Back in the day, I shaved a few bits off and lit it with a match to show my sons how we used to heat up C-rations.

Then I got a little carried away and carved off about an inch of it, taped it to a tree at the edge of our property and ran some commo wire to it ...... one twist with a hand generator and .. BOOM ....the 8" tree was in two pieces.

My boys were impressed ..... the then mrs humfrz ..... not so much....:(

Yep, I reckon we had better end this transmission ..... before someone starts knocking at my door .... :bonk:

This is why having an old backup car is great...I'll park in the space you left anyway.

How dare someone park next to you in a parking lot. I mean, what are they thinking? Stop the madness.

Hey, guy.... I hate the douches that double park too, but if some funny motherfucker spray paints my car I'm going to be pissed.

If someone is taking up two spaces in a full lot they should get a ticket. However, most of the time people do this they are parking far away from everyone else in a lot that will never get full, in an attempt to avoid door dings. Mostly this video was just a sad reminder that in the US you either have the choice of parking next to other cars and getting a huge gash in the side from their door, or parking away from other cars and getting vandalized. (I can't even count the number of horror stories where people get keyed or something because they parked far away, even when not double parked)

If you buy a car, drive it, and double park, you deserve it....not only with fake paint, but also real paint.

Did driving school ever taught you to park ?

Yeah, i thought so, if you double parked, you would have failed your license exempt. Then why do you double park with your license ? It better be revoked.

Simple, because people who double park has no common senses.

It is freaking funny that you are afraid of door dings, and double park to invite people to spray paint, or key scratch it. I can understand the park so far away but to double park ?

At my old office, a toolbag in a relatively new 5 series used to double park in the lot. He could've went back 1-2 rows and never had a single vehicle share the same vicinity with him. So, a coworker (STi) and myself (in my jeep) used to squeeze in beside him. It only took about a week for the moron to realize why we were doing it. He stopped and parked by himself in the next row for the 2 years I was there.

Double parking is a d'bag move. If anything, it draws more attention to your car.

raven1231 03-07-2014 09:39 AM

double park because race car!!!!!!!!! It annoys me as well
