Hah. The title is skewed. :P winter blend came in and I decided to see if. I could manage to drive the car economically without stalling etc and it only lasted 1-2 weeks. I did 12k miles in ~4 months.

Sorry to hear (one of the things I fear). What exactly blew on your engine? Do you have more pics of the damage?

I appreciate all the detail you have taken on this post. i originally had money set aside to purchase one of these kits and was literally a week away when I had some people I spoke with behind the lines in september about their experiences with Toni.

This is why my kit is being built locally. I can tell you I would trust fullblown and really like JDL's design, but I will be staying local for this one lol

Just out of curiosity where locally ? The only shop near us I trust is ipsmotorsports

Lots of us live by our reputation and this kind of scenario is detrimental to everyone. Obviously nothing to be done about it now, but understand that in any business there are all kinds of people, and for the most part the above is quite the exception.

Yeah its sad... Now that I have gotten my feet wet on this platform e-tuning is very capable on this setup. This ecu / engine is very forgiving from what I have seen and its really doable if you sit down and actually test things locally first. The mistake here was the lack of testing on his own local cars and "assuming" something was right. He used a sample map from ecutek and copied from that and hadn't actually tested it in person which was the fault. And that minor overlook cost me quite a bit.

Lol
Found this on the clubintegra forums.

From the optima forums.
"thanks guys for the feedback. i dont dispute the communication issue. thats on me directly cause some days im out back all day and i cant get to the phones. i wish it was within our budget to higher a customer service person but thats not possible at the moment im more looking for another fabricator. but we are and have made improvements and will continue to do so."

THIS IS FROM 2012 so this has been a known issue for wayyyyyy too long.
Definitely the same guy since we all know how Toni types.

Quoted from optima forums aswell.
"I got my intake 2 days ago but can't use it. There is a hole in the weld that goes all the way thru. It took about 12 days to receive it which is fast compared to your experience. They said they would send me a new one. I hope it doesn't take awhile cause I want to install it ASAP.."
Seems familiar to someone elses problem.

Gen coupe forums.

Toni's fake account posted in the thread above. Come on noone doesn't use capitalization like toni does........
"i agree toni can bee a little big headed. but when it comes to quality and knowledge of turbo charged vehicles i trust his judgement wholeheartedly. hes worked with me on dyno cost before when will was doing my CMD tuning. now i agree 1000000% with OP original posting. this is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. but like crooked H said SAM helps out alot with PRWs image understandably with wills job and wifey and rarely gets on here. but when i text him he respondedes and is always willing and able to help me when i have issues or questions. over all tonis cars knowledge in general. and his HUGE HUGE following in the EVO world down here. (south florida) & wills knowledge & assistance. plus sams constant presence and helpfulness here keep me involved with PRW to thee end. regardless of how toni be be kinda douche at times. because when it comes down to it my cars internals and longevity do not care if i yell at them or be rude to them they care how well put together and reliable my parts are."

Porsche forums DAMN TONI YOU GET AROUND.
A guy calls him out for parting out "his car" and he doesn't know where something is located.

He's like a mosquito that sucks a platform dry and then moves on.

Sorry to see this happen to your build, and don't know if anything can be done at this point to repair Toni's rep in the community... Wow...this just seems to be getting worse and worse, i decided to go with @JuniorAWD because he was local and i have known his work for that last couple of years and i like dealing with people face to face.

I brought my old car to IPS, for a supercharger install and a tune ....Eric hargett was the tuner . He works for covert tuning right this moment.

Although the service is pretty good, but it took them a whole month to finish the job, and quite frankly I'm not sure if they can do ecutek tuning for our cars ..... Last time I asked , they mentioned using a Cobb for the tuning ....

i just heard that toni died in a dodgeball accident & you shouldn't be worried anymore. but i mean seriously you guys, no need to send the lawyers or guido. i agree wholeheartedly 100000% what he did was not nice. but the wifey keeps ringing the damn phone so he can't double check every map. anyway, i hear there's this new super professional tuner in town called EC-YOU-TEK you should totally go there.

slicktop 01-20-2014 11:16 PM

Damnnnnnnn, finally.
