Where do you install the Thermashield that comes with the HKS Header?

i even dynoed them you can minimize instructions in: -put thermal adesive on your oil pan, cutting it to shape it -use the Grey extension to extend front primary lambds, which will go directly to the exit of the header while the second lambda goes to the single runner' hole stop. They aren t different from any other header just becuase they got a 20pages Manual of use with them in fact, they are quite shitty performing, cat is too small and useless and only blocks the relative small exit they got Yes sound is cool... but tomei UEL are better in every way if you want UEL at all costs They are good at keeping value, even if most people would not buy them it took me another 2 years to actually sell them to someone in Europe |

Can I tell you, I was going for Tomei UEL at first but I feel it causes some rasps in some exhaust setups since its catless and then its louder as well. I guess I wanted to get a catted header to be on the safer side in terms of volumes and emissions. Plus the Tomei is even cheaper too but I'm hoping the rumble will make the HKS worth it! But I don't care too much about the gains more than that rumble which you will get from others. I was impressed by the HKS Packages, as those to me are the best rumbles for this platform. that was sound of my car
mind you it s all hks, but the midpipe.. it s stock https://youtu.be/94u7NZSdoTg dyno https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/5947/uXsq7C.jpg bolder lines are HKS boxer spec header with stock oem My17 tune thinner lines, tune @ knock limit with 100ron same day we dynoed and tuned similar car but with Skunk2 EL 4-1 header, it got 12whp more from 6000 rpm to redline, but 10whp less at 4k rpm This dyno gives 173bhp only for stock cars |

I am still on the fence about the over pipe, whether its necessary or not. I think the description of it says its for racing applications. Toyota 86 in the building! |
