so what are the rates?

and since you guys took the OEM springs out, do you know what the OEM rates are?

How's the suspension travel and geometry? I don't like tires to rub the inner fender wells when I drive hard or have passengers/weight in there; also, I prefer coilover or spring+shocks combo setups. Springs on stock shocks; bad idea, IMO.

The cool thing is the the inner fenders are already pre=rolled, this has been verified in the BRZ and FR-S so rubbing will not be an issue :w00t:

Ive had springs on stock shocks for a good 3-4 years now on my car lol without issue :D
And its a far more aggressive drop (~2 inches) since the wheel gap in the corolla is ridiculously huge.

agreed, but everyone here is a professional racer and need lightweight wheels and functional everything :bonk:

the drop isnt bad at all, but too conservative for my taste. cant wait for their coils.

carbonBLUE 03-27-2012 02:23 AM

the drop is a livable performance upgrade

Nardi330 03-27-2012 02:24 AM

lol @ 3 inches at least.

i'd think ride height will drop a little more once the springs are settled. looks pretty good to me. just need wider/better offset wheels.

serialk11r 03-27-2012 02:45 AM

I think 16" wheels would look right at home with that gap. As it stands, the rubber still looks like it's too thin compared to the gap with those 17"s. Fatter rubber will make it look more natural.

The new springs look a bit thicker than the stock ones...wonder how the spring rates compare.

Rust on the muffler already, am disappoint.

Well, the car was likely driven through the winter. And besides.. How long are you planning to keep the stock exhaust?

The size difference between the stock and STI rear sways is crazy. A STI bar will be inexpensive, but will likely be really overkill without a matching front.

I love that RCE's camber plates fit! Those are beautiful pieces. I may have to pick up a set to compensate for the lowering. I'm not a fan of aftermarket camber bolts.

for a long time?

there are plenty of things that i'm going to spent my cash on before i even start touching the power on this car.
