I originally voted 18". But I'm starting to lean back towards 17" again. It's a small car, so it doesn't need 18" rims to look right (though they would look nice), and a few different sources (RCE, Vorshlag, etc.) have noted that 17" is about as big as you want to go for performance on this car. And I think a 235/40-17x8 tire will work better overall than a 225/40-18x7.5.

I'm still up in the air between the two.

I've always liked the idea of wider wheels while retaining stock tire sizing. My GTI has 18x9 with a 225/40

Ive seen 18s look good on these cars, but I need 17'' wheels for cheaper tires and less weight per corner. Chosing some 17s with spokes that go all the way to edge of the rim is a good compromise since they will appear slightly bigger.

Nice! I wish they included tire specs in the comparison, though... I'm wondering if the overall diameter of the 17" wheel choice is smaller than the other two (ie 18" and 20")

Hahaha! Almost the same exact combo as me cept you upsized by 1inch.

I'm going 17x8 WedsSport TC105N's though, and getting Michelin PSS's in the
same stock rolling diameter(215/45/17). I figured it would be slightly lighter.
