Anything other than a Cayman in your mind? Considering only new coupes that handle as well as the twins.

My buddy has raced with them on some tracks. He says they always break down. He was impressed that they were tracking their car, though.

Cayman S is 63 + Tax (no options). Is the C6 Vette comparable in handling to Cayman or the twins?

We are focused on price because unless you have never been to the Forced Induction forum, you would know there are plenty of people already making that much power on stock motors with E85.

Matt Farah mentions it in the comments section:

"They are coming out with a consumer-grade Turbo setup next month, and will release pricing then. This car is currently on ebay with a starting bid at $60k, and Quirt told me that they plan to get 'a little bit less out of it than they have into it.' Granted, this was the first one, so it's probably a lot, but I wouldn't be surprised if $15k got you this exact setup once it's available for sale."

When I first looked I couldn't find it but then found it under completed listings, nobody bought it and it apparently ran for only a couple of days. Crawford has only 1 rating too.

Yeah on a built low compression motor. They also already blew one motor. I could throw low compression pistons and rods in mine and make that kind of power as well.

Agreed. Having that kind of power with relatively narrow tires and the low gearing these cars have is crazy for anything other than just a hard, straight-line pull. And that's kind of the exact opposite of why 95% of us bought our FR-S/BRZ. It's neat, but I think it would actually reduce the fun factor. I agree that 250-300whp would be awesome for this car, and would be plenty of power without impacting the fun factor...

you sir are unfortunately dead wrong. wider tires, a trained foot, and deft hands make this car into a guided missle. Yeah there is wheel spin, and tail happy antics, but doesn't this occur on a porsche 911 turbo, chevrolet corvette, and even the brz/fr-s from the factory ?

The power adds to what the car is capable of. It's not like you are on the juice and suddenly the car is just uncontrollable.

I wonder what the consumer kit will cost, according to that ebay quote the turbo kit adds up to almost 10k with the turbo/intercooler/tune/fuel. Hopefully the street version is more realistic

So, the torque curve isn't really peaky? I guess I assumed it would look like a 600hp Supra torque curve, where the car jumps 100ft lbs in like 500rpm... I always imagined that would be hard to drive.

Is that included Labor ? Oh ghost....I would spend that 63k + tax on a C7 corvette.

After all, Simply FRS is an FRS and Corvette is a Corvette on the street. Is it not ?

Now Crawford, if you can, and if you please. Talk to either Scion or Subaru to allow you to Hand assembly these car for a Limited Run similar to the

Evolution X 311RS. These car are fully Manufacturing warranted, and will only be 11 units Built.

If Crawford can pull this off for around 40k. I am IN!!!!!

Isn't FRS Sell these car as an Empty SHELLS as well in JAPAN ?

If so, why don't we

- Purchase a Shell with Transmission and Drive Shaft, just no Engine
- Put in STI Engine
- Put in the Turbo

Call it a Day ? Comon!!!
