I noticed the front fenders are higher and farther out than the rest of the car... is the front frame deforming under hard track abuse?

no I didnt roll the fenders and the tire is doing this for me! as the fender streches it goes up and out at the door
|
Ok good... was worried for a minute and started looking for my spot welder.
Thanks again for pushing this thing so hard and documenting your progress. Please let us know if you are coming back to MRLS which is in our back yard. Cheers |
This chassis is STRONG! my front sway bar is tracking a bit high even with shorter endlinks and was touching at the pinch weld....standing seam on the lower chassis. So I get our trusty ford tool out and hit it..nothing! 2 lb sledge not doing much 5 lb sledge and some muscle and was finally able to move it ever so much to clear the new sway bar arc! High strength steel is just what they say!

any thoughts on selling the front arms or whatever roll center correction you are using? (it looks like extended ball joints)
|
yes soon I test the hell out of parts I like the math this will work with plenty of reserve safety part but then we go out and try to find the weaknesses and change them.
We also work through the range of adjustments to see if they actually provide you with USEABLE adjustments! Ha what a concept lol CU@ the track! (be sure and ask for a ride) "OH WHAT A FEELING" |
Looks like the Mfactory final drive worked out well for you.

Let me know when you drive MRLS Robi. I'll have (2) Borla clamp-on 90-degree elbows to fit over your tips.
Keep in mind your setup with Borla EL Header (PN-17285) + catless Mid-Pipe (PN-60541) + Cat-back (PN-140496) registers a higher dB(A) @MRLS than Borla UEL Header (PN-17284) + Cat-back (PN-140496). |
yes I could tell that because when I went through in 3rd at 7000 rpm the reading given to me was 98db and later in 4th (shifting right before the meter) listed me as 97. My getto aluminum 90's got me through at 92db but I could not keep them on!
