I'm getting conflicting reports that BRz comes with 196-watt system vs FRs 300-watt. Can anyone confirm this?

In Canada the options are slightly different. I have heard the same thing, that the premium will not have the same system as the limited in Canada. The limited in Canada gets the same system as the premium and limited in the states.

So the unit W smith was talking about just for Canada? I just noticed where he is from.

Do Canada and US get the same units, or different.

IIRC, Toyota stock speakers tend to be very light on the ?treble?. Can't hear the words from any rap songs over the bass, even if bass is turned all the way down and treble all the way up. That's how it is in my mum's Highlander and my cousin's TC, and even my friend's Rav4... Maybe it's different for new school speakers?

Autoblog http://www.autoblog.com/2011/12/05/2...-drive-review/ and Edmunds http://www.insideline.com/subaru/brz...and-video.html

both list it as 196-watt.

Maybe it's Toyota trying to tell you something...

Looks like I might have to upgrade the speaker system. 196watts isn't gonna cut it.

:) Yah, they're always really muffled sounding, unlike Honda's speakers. Hmmm...

That's the one we saw on the Japanese BRZs, right? With the traditional looking stereo deck and knobs? Like this one: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2012/03/lead16-2013-subaru-brz-fd.jpg

Or is it like the one we're gettin in the states?

The AVIC is the nice big display nav unit seen in Hachi's demo video.
