Did anyone notice a slight wobble in their OEM pulley? My Perrin has been on for 4000 miles but it still has a slight wobble at the bolt to the crank, it may just be an optical illusion.

Watch the grooves where the belt goes as it turns. You may be seeing things.

Everything lines up, maybe it's time for an eye exam.

I think the issue is that the head of the bolt isn't perfectly round so it distorts what you see.

Yeah I know what you're talking about, but look at the pulley itself, shouldn't be wobbling. My bolt looks like that too but my pulley doesn't wobble one bit

I bought a light weight pulley set (3 pieces) and when I had to take off the camshaft pulley, I noticed that, even in park with E Brake up, the pulley still spins freely, causing me to not loosen the bolt. For AT guys, you need to pick up a Camshaft Pulley Stabilizer tool to hold the OEM camshaft pulley in place.

Here is a picture of "Schley Products, Inc Universal Camshaft Pulley Holding Tool" for what AT people will need to stabilizer the camshaft pulley for removal. You can find this at Sears or Advanced Auto.

Just got done installing my circuit werks pulley kit and yes that crank pulley spacer scared the s*** out of me....pulled the stock pulley out slowly and the spacer came out with it, right when I saw it, I was like f*** what did I just do..first thing pop in my mind was to put back in since I didn't pull it out all the way...luckly it went straight in and sit flush, installed everything, start the car pulley no wobble no leaks no nothing...:)

Just a small tip for everyone: use a few extensions to pull of the original pulley like @Gopherboy6956 suggested, then use a sharpie to mark the timing cover and the crankshaft pulley spacer. it makes reinstalling the spacer a piece of cake.

do i need to get an o-ring if the seal did not come out at all??? thanks.

Yes. If you can see it, you need to replace it.

it will 'probably' be fine, but not worth a potential leak for a $2 o-ring.

I used something to hold the sleeve in before sliding out the oem pulley. That was my biggest concern. and it was a success.

Seems like this is the correct o ring i need but just want to make sure so when i go to the dealer tmr i can pick up the right part

Ok, so, just installed my Raceseng crank pulley. Couldn't have been easier, honestly. What I ended up doing with the crankshaft pulley spacer was to almost take the bolt all the way out, and then held the bolt with my thumbs and slipped the pulley off. Then, held the pulley with one hand, undid the last thread of the bolt with my other hand and popped it out. Everything stayed put that should've. Checked position of the O-ring, popped the new pulley on, hand tightened the bolt, torqued it, put the belt back on and put the intake back in. Piece of cake.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd double check things. I installed the Perrin crank pulley a couple weeks ago. In that time, I've driven it a little hard on the street, back and forth to work for 2 weeks, and even had a track day at Road America where I essentially put it through hell. Tonight, I figured I'd better check on this since it's the first I've heard of it. I didn't run into any apparent issues with it during install and thought nothing of it.

The pulley doesn't appear to be wobbling AT ALL. I looked at a straight edge on it in several different positions and watched as close as I could. No indication of it wobbling whatsoever. The bolt, however, I can't honestly tell if there is a slight wobble or not. It's sitting flush against the pulley, which the pulley itself isn't wobbling...so I'm guessing I don't have to worry about the bolt head and how it looks.

I have no leaks, it ran like a champ at very high rpm for 20min sessions at a time, and the pulley itself doesn't wobble.
