Where in MD for the license plate? The same area or random? I've found that it only was a problem when I went down to Ocean City for the car shows in my Boss.

Being in MD, you probably are not an expert as to what qualifies for PC in CA or OR.

Notheless, as a very general rule: If a cop wants to pull you over for something, they will find a good reason. If a citation is written, it may or may not include the original PC for the stop.

Been stopped once while I was out ****ing around. 58 in a 40, no front plate. I just decided to be honest with him and told him I was just out blowing some steam off and playing with the car. He ended up writing me a warning for 50 in a 40 and the plate. He didn't bitch about the track pipe though, so I guess that's good.

Bullshit, I would have taken that to court. No radar or lidar to prove it... hope you didn't settle for that.

I had a guy at a gas station ask me if it was some Italian sports car... lol.

Don't worry all my tickets are in dispute. They cop even had the nerve to add on that I didn't stop for a yellow even tho he wasn't in my lane so he couldn't of seen the lights or if I had passed the point of no return

I don't plan on losing my disputes

"generally" if one gets stopped by a state trooper, expect a ticket!
they really don't care 2 s**ts about warnings, because if THEY pull you over,in their view,an infraction has occurred, and they want to do a piece of business on your a**,hence,WHY they pulled you over in the first place! you want a warning? better off getting stopped by a "local" flatfoot...just sayin'

There's no rule saying were allowed 10% over... its just up to the officer how much of a **** he wants to be. Photo radar is usually set about ~10km over but there's no magic number they have to use.

Not on the officer side of things no but yes there is a 10% allowance in the law in the idea that at times you will roll over a speed limit slightly just simply due to. Oh I don't know. Going downhill or needing to pass a slower car. The JP will through put any ticket for less than 10%. Thus giving you ten kph at 100 the standard speed limit for highway driving in the majority of Canada.

From my experience I've found it to be mixed. There are good cops and bad cops. I had a State Trooper catch me going 20MPH over via Laser in my Boss. I was polite and he was cool. Liked the car and just wrote me a warning.

jmaryt 01-09-2013 09:21 PM

it's nice to "catch a break" once in a while!
gotta be honest though,ya got lucky,as they generally don't care about that!
they are out to write ya up! they are always thinkin' "revenue", because they are a state agency!..just sayin'

Did you have to remove the tint? And if so, I assume you got it retinted later? How much was that for just two windows?

In the summer of 2008 I bought a 2009 vehicle. Within a month of buying it I got it tinted. No trouble with the tint in the 5 years I've had it.
