Here's mine and you don't need to translate. :)

Yeah, but with any online translator, its going to not pick up on certain nuances, like if the questioner waxes poetic or uses words with double meaning, as many do in the english language.

True, it tries though, but it could help speed up the process maybe.

Question to Tada-san:
Is there a possibility there will be a GT86 with better fuel consumption? In terms of emissions, what is the goal (in terms of CO2,EU standard) for the future hybrid/performance version?

Actually, it's opposite for me. It slows down my process. Cuz Japanese sentece is written different way (sentence structure), but google translator doesn't fix that, so I have to rewrite the whole thing.

Thanks for the idea tho! :)

Consolidate questions i.e. future options, what would you change, etc.

New one: Who is your biggest competitor with this car at the moment? Who has the potential to build a car equal (or better) than what you've made?

wbradley 12-04-2012 05:59 PM

I used to chat on a pinball forum regularly. Sometimes French Canadians would start chatting using their own language. This is when I first discovered Google Translate and Babelfish are crap.

For example Google Translate in Ichi's question:

"I am grateful that you made me a car like this in this era. I was able to buy a car FR of longing finally taking more than ten years from the license of the car. Not only finished the price within reach of many people, I no perfection to the extent there are no questions that say or request, "said I want you to calf here" "Why did not we do this here" and Aga is as. I pray that you continue to be produced also in the generation of a son of my car that sort of thing.

If we were to dare question anything, what measures have been already at the time of production plants allophone three pieces of rear deck plate occurs. While I can answer when they are asked, such as friends and colleagues that are thinking of buying this car "problem? There's something" and measures if of being already and you're. "Problem is nothing" . I do not get far without answer, such that no abnormal noise may occur."

I think the issue is using vernacular or translating languages that change the words structure sequentiually vs. English. Then there's tense, sex, various plurals, etc. Japanese from what I hear is probably not the simplest language to begin with. Konishi Wah.

Please tell him buying a 86 is one of the best thing happened in my life. Thanks for making this.

My question: what is the thing , if any, that he compromised due to production cost? And how would he suggest to change?or If that can be even change?

FRiSson 12-04-2012 07:12 PM

I would like to know if he could tweak the computer so that it could store two TPMS codes, for those who use a separate winter/summer wheel set.

PMok 12-04-2012 07:54 PM

It was often mentioned in the media, that the development team looked to the Porsche Cayman as the handling benchmark. Porsche has now just released the next generation Cayman to follow the new Boxster. Will the Cayman continue to be a handling benchmark for future generations of the 86 to come?

switchlanez 12-04-2012 07:54 PM

Are there any plans to tweak the engine for more horsepower/torque from the factory? If so, will it apply to all brands or is it possible for it to only apply to one brand? For example, if a BRZ STI comes assembled from the factory, will the 86 have an equivalent version just like how there are equivalent trims/options between the current 86 and BRZ? Will any factory updates to the power or to any other aspects of the car be retrofit-table so current owners can easily apply it (meaning no severe modification/fabrication needed) to our 1st model year cars?
