Noticed that livingroom gets very dusty in certain time of the day, so bought Levoit air purifier. Wasn't cheap, but suppose to help trap pollen and dust.

Next wk, turf guy is coming to give estimate for front and back. Won't be cheap...

Welp, I scrubbed all the hard surfaced floors in the house today. I told mrs humfrz that I was getting too damn old for that shit, because my knees were killing me.

She mentioned that I should look into a maid service. So, I said that I would do just that -

i would've preferred a coupon for a steak dinner or a free snow shovel, but hey, you do you.

I mean, they did leave a wheelbarrow full of pickaxes and asphalt spreaders that I had to remind them about.

getting really tired of trying to locate customer houses where people put up 1" tall address signs and then let the bushes grow over them...

so now my house won't be one of them.

i also welded up a 'flower' i've been meaning to build for the last 2 years. i intend to get a few more wheels off some scrap bikes in the future and make a little bouquet of them

Installed 4 led (variable CCT) trims in recessed cans in the family to replace the existing halogens. The difference in heat output is noticeable. Between that reduced heat load on the HVAC and the lower power draw of the LEDs I'm interested to see if there is any measurable impact on monthly power consumption. I'm expecting the difference to get lost in the noise, but you never know.

4 cans is going to be almost nothing once the summer a/c bill starts coming in.

assuming you had 75w bulbs, that was 2.5A. most led trims are about 15w, so it's now about 0.5A draw.

Ohhh, the summer AC bills have already started rolling in. I'm just curious. These are 65w (equiv), 8w (about .07A). I'm sure any difference will get lost in statistical noise, but building linear regression models is a hobby. lol
