Impact wrench on those 2 bolts ?
I guess if the bolt shears, you can just resort to the BFH

Do not use an impact wrench, use a normal socket wrench and tighten both down equally slowly, rotor pops right off. Takes like a min or two, if the bolt sheers or worse the threads in the rotor are messed up then the it becomes more annoying to deal with. My rotors where totally sealed, I bashed at them and used pb blaster and they didnt even budge, when I finally went out and bought these bolts, it came off no sweat. Save yourself some time and effort. Any twin owner who plans on servicing their own brakes should spend the dollar or two and have these bolts lying around.

the problem is never just having them. the problem is that i'll get them, and when i go to actually use them, they'll be off on a romantic retreat with my 10mm socket!

unfortunately, they seem to be using protection, as i'm not getting more 10mm sockets or 8mm bolts out of the deal.

Yep. Hum used to be able to walk through any parking lot and see the condition of all the brakes.

However, the discussions did go on.

What kind of wood was best, oak, hickory or pine?

Should the blocks be fire hardened or not?

Do the blocks stay cooler if they are hash marked?

Is the use of tar pitch against the racing rules?

What about dual block brakes?

How much are big block brake kits?

Of course you paint them, if you want them to be noticed!
