Just a little update. Pic of the Spec clutch installed about a month ago. Picked up an "ultra quiet" mid pipe today, completing the major portion of my exhaust project. Ultra quiet is a bit of a misnomer. I am going to get some measurements tomorrow and experiment with different "silencer" designs to get noise levels tolerable. That being done looking forward to fuel systems upgrades and new tune.

Well, my car has come a long way in the past 5 years. Today I finished the planned engine mods by installing:
Deatschwerks 340 pump
Deatschwerks 700cc injectors
Delicious V3 Flex fuel kit with bluetooth fuel pressure monitor

Delicious Flex fuel Edelbrock SC tune.
Test drive revealed leaking fuel tank gasket. Will attempt to reinstall in the morning. Very long day and time for a sippin beverage.

May have been a bit premature in the tuning process, but I took the car autocrossing today. First time since the Flex Fuel upgrade. Holy Cow! Going to have to completely re-learn the car. At 61% ethanol today the Ventras 245s were no match for second gear. Still a few tuning bugs to work out and I feel an air oil separator is now a "must"

42f this afternoon and took the car to the drag strip to see what all the mods have done for me. Launched with the 4000 rpm Delicious launch control expecting tire spin with the low temps and 200 tw Kuhmos. Nope. Hooked so hard it instantaneously shucked the rh cv axle without as much as a forward lurch. This is why I have to keep reminding myself over and over "I AM NOT BUILDING A DRAG CAR AGAIN!" lol.

Just a little update. Just serviced with 132k miles on the clock, over 70k now on the supercharger. Sent an oil sample to Speediagnostix to see if they have any lubrication improvement recommendations. Had a minor boo boo in the driveway which resulted in a damaged tail light. Seemed like a good time to try out the look of smoked sequential tails. Got the Delicious air/oil separator installed. Calculated about $50 a year in additional fuel cost running E85 (Racetrack pump), small price to pay for such a power adder.

After being scolded by the SCCA for being too loud (couldn't agree more) I ordered a pair of Skunk2 silencers that looked like they would fit. They didn't. I had a local machine shop waterjet a pair of bushing out of 304ss, which I welded to the silencer flanges. Works great, sounds great, I can once again hear the stereo!

In other news today, I flushed my brake system with fresh fluid.
Just got my first oil analysis back from Speediagnostix. Everything looked great. I had been concerned that E85 and FI combined may warrant a boost in oil viscosity. Looks like the 0-20 Kendall is doing its job well. I generally change between 3500-4000 miles. He is suggesting I stretch that out 4000-5000 miles.

About a month ago participated with Buccaneer region SCCA at The Firm in Starke FL. Had a great time and met some good folks. GS drones did an awesome video of the event. One of my runs begins at 8:28. The camera highlighted several mistakes. Stuffing a corner and some tail wag on the slalom.

Finally made it to a Tougefest event at the Dragon. Had a great time meeting folks and checking out a lot of cool cars.

For anyone who is tired of fumbling with the flat washers supplied for the Edelbrock air filter box, I found these. They fit perfectly. Being stainless steel, I do recommend your favorite flavor of never seize compound

Just bought a 3 year $50 battery for $247 from advance Auto parts. Just pisses me off every time I have to replace a battery that is shittier than the last because....
Well you know, political conversation ensues
