THIS! I came very close to "settling" on an Asphalt BRZ because I really liked the extra features on the Premium trim level. But I was never hot on the Subie colors (so freaking drab!).
Hopped online, noticed 1 new Hot Lava AT that was only 2 hours away, confirmed the car was on the lot, drove over the next day and came home with it and loved every minute since (except scraping the curb at my ex's and the texter who smacked my ass. Got a brand new rear bumper out of it and a little bottle of Hot Lava paint, too!)
Moral of the story: Don't settle.

Mine was the only Lava they had and it was the show car for al the add ons so had $5K worth of stuff on it. I wouldn't pay for all that stuff but wanted Lava (actually I wanted THAT specific Lava). They tried very hard to get me to take a black or white one and there was not a hope I would since I knew I would come to hate the fact I settled for one I didn't really want even if it was just a colour choice. Luckily we were able to come to an agreement and I got the Lava. |
