(this was pre alignment - didn't take a similar shot afterwards. oops)

Now that front shot is beautiful! Great job!

why not show us how your headlight looks like with the retrofit? any difference from the original look?

Mine look OEM. I thought about blacking them out, but I feel that makes the turn signal stand out more. I will be painting the headlights, but Im still deciding on which way to go with it.

do you need to disable the DRL if you install with the bi-xenon ?

As previously mentioned, you dont need to. I kept the DRL relay, so I still have DRLs and I also have 4 high beam lights.

For those who've done it, were you as impressed as I was (hugely impressed) by the high beams?

Yep, I love them. But with how bright the output is on the lowbeam, I very rarely need to use them.

The wires that come with the projector unit that turns on the projector highbeam

tonystewart 08-04-2012 04:34 PM

After you push thru waterproof cap install ends and install to splitter/jumper wire supplied

frs 08-04-2012 07:09 PM

tonystewart 08-04-2012 09:09 PM

As @tonystewart said, you should have received a y-cable in your kit. The female connector goes to the chassis highbeam connector. One of the male connectors goes to the stock highbeam/drl bulb and the other goes to the projector highbeam solenoid.

So excited to do this conversion on my car once it arrives!

keithbribac 08-13-2012 08:08 PM

What is the bulb size of the projectors used in the retro-quick system?

tonystewart 08-13-2012 08:28 PM

H1

I did this same mod with the same projectors onto my Accord. It's not as amazing as TSX or RX projectors but is worth the money. Every once in a while TRS will sell "Less than perfect" projectors at half the price. I ordered them and they were near flawless besides a minor scuff on the side of the lens that didn't affect visibility. If you have steady hands, this mod is definitely worth it.
