Here's my question...all the shielding that comes with all the stock pipes, am I correct in assuming that all that shielding goes in the trash when installing the 3 new pieces? I know my shop is going to ask and I don't want to appear to be a dumbass. Or maybe it's too late? :bonk:

Thanks!

Yes, trash it unless you want to keep your stock stuff. I trashed that restrictive garbage, lol.

My JDL chrome coated UEL was made on the new jig towards the end of the group buy. Flawless fitment with Grimmspeed gaskets.

Today im finally going to make my order for the UEL header, test pipe and overpipe. I will have to pay 500 usd to have them shipped to italy so its going to be a huge expense for me. Should i spend an extra 140 bucks to get the header thermal coated? Do you guys think i will be able to appreciate the difference during track days?

No offense to jdl as i will probably order a header from them but don't you have anyone local? I mean $500 for shipping...

Yup, once you get the shields off, taking the overpipe takes a bit of force but it slides right out. I bet if I had more help, putting on new headers would take 1/2 an hour maybe.

Can i changing the header, over/front pipe without having to lift the engine? Will be changing my parts soon.

I do have someone local and you sir just gave me a GREAT idea.

Still, i dont think its jdl's fault...
From another shop its 1400 usd to ship CAI+catback+ lower control arms +toms tail lights. Which is kind of ridiculous. I could get a plane to the states and personally collect my parts and bring them back for less than that.

You can. You just have to wiggle it out, but it is completely possible.

Mirko is in italy....that's what i was refering to.

Yeah shipping from az to idaho won't be bad.

Only reason i dont have an order placed is dyno numbers from both your headers and the nameless header. And the required $1200 lol.

Shoot me a PM if you want a quote with some shipping options
