Chen 04-12-2015 11:07 PM

Either tonight or tomorrow I'll update a tally board and figure out who's leading the mega meet.

I haven't read thru the last few pages. But this is also an open invite to the Northern California owners and Idaho correct?

Chen 04-12-2015 11:12 PM

Also spoke to Chris at Perrin. They got to much going on to take part with this event. Big Nw is a couple weeks after our event.

sachu 04-12-2015 11:28 PM

Too far out for me to say for sure if I can make it or not. I'll try.

As long as no one violates parole.

myusernameisrob 04-12-2015 11:57 PM

I'm in.

Hopefully I can get some other Spokane 86's to join me.

The 4 hour drive home after the meet before going to work on Monday is going to kill me but JUSTAINTCARE.

Thank you @Chen for taking care of who will be leading the Portland convoy. I will be taking care of the WA side as the date gets closer.

The meet is open to all 86 owners. It will be a big event for WA and Oregon State. However, I will be cautious of inviting members driving 3 hours plus one way.

Not saying that it won't be worth it, but I just want to be honest and say that maybe we should concentrate on those within a 3-4 hour driving radius around the Olympia area.

If northern cali members are planning to do more and enjoy the other things that the PNW has to offer than we would love to have you guys/gals here!

Thank you for this information. I had formally reached out to their marketing department a week ago and heard no official word. Good to know, thanks!

My co-worker will be going with me in his FR-S, so you can chalk another one up for Everett.

As we get closer to the date I will put together all pre-meet locations and times on the first page so that we will all be in sync.

The pre-meet post is currently labeled "reserved" and will be updated once we have the numbers and all information! :party0030:

***UPDATE***April 14,2015***

OFFICIAL Name for the event will be "WE'VE GOT 86 EVENT!" Get Excited!

m.box.design 04-14-2015 11:44 PM

@BRZPDX Maybe you can come and be our camera car. We can stick a dozen GoPros on your car. ;)

Locust 04-15-2015 12:04 AM

I don't understand this name.

HATED1 04-15-2015 12:08 AM

Toyota of Olympia will be unveiling their RB Turbo 86 and would like to showcase what they have to offer for our cars. Also, we will be there in the masses to show the PNW that we will be in full attendence to represent!

m3bassman 04-15-2015 01:55 AM

ill play, all the way from idaho.

It probably got handed down by someone from corporate or management; might even be from one of their assistants. Definitely not fueled by the enthusiast. Because it looks like something that would appear on junk mail advertisements from a dealership.

Frankly, it looks like Longo Toyota in socal is the only dealership that understands the enthusiast.

Decay107 04-15-2015 06:46 PM

Can we, at the very least, call it "We've got an 86 event"?
The lack of indefinite article is driving me mad.

Or, we could just keep calling it the Mega Meet. Ignore the corporate labels.

This is what I plan to do in conversation, but then there comes the time to point someone to the official event page or Facebook. You will have to call it *audible sigh* "We've got 86 event".

Sympathy for @HATED1. I'm sure he wasn't looking forward to springing that on us.

Feeling your pain, bro. It's all good.

sachu 04-15-2015 07:08 PM

UGH..that's a terrible name for the event. I bet it was driven by the corporate folk at the toyota showroom where this is being organized.

NW86 or PNW 86ers or Northwest GT86 would have been plenty good and simple.

m.box.design 04-15-2015 07:10 PM

We can make a name for ourselves whenever Seattle and Portland guys gather. Maybe PNW 86 Alliance. So... we can just say, we the PNW 86 Alliance attended the We Got 86 Event in Olympia, WA. :)
