I can't view that link at work, but just for full disclosure, I pulled the numbers I used, off of the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread. but I do remember him posting a better run.

Looks like the screenshot of the spreadsheet (the one that you used) and the actual spreadsheet (the one that I used) have slightly different data. I think the screenshot needs updating by the OP. Paging @TM !

What was your 'real life' relative density on that E.T/trap ?

I did 14.6 @ 97 with a 2.1 60' in 70-80 degree temps humidity was ~70% and near sea level. I didn't datalog the run unfortunately. Stock tires of course they spin easy. Just wondering the how much the quarter mile would improve.

Are you saying gtechs are pretty accurate?

stevo585 07-09-2014 08:41 PM

For reference stock was 15.2 @ 91.

raven1231 07-09-2014 08:50 PM

Once the e85 tune comes out I'll give it a go at my local race track just for the hell of it :)

If you both use an accelerometer based Gtech and correct for density altitude then it is just up to skill level....then it should be pretty accurate.

A change of 2000' Density Altitude (elevation, air temp,Baro,Relative humidity) can effect E.T by 0.5 seconds.

Very hard to compare....many variables:)

Today's local density altitude is a whopping 6960' ! :)

I'll load it up tomorrow. How long should I wait for a log?

You can log almost immediately. The logs should look identical to the previous maps I released (v1.60). But the new v2.0 should drive better, smoother with a more stable idle. So subjective driving feedback will be just as important (if not more important) than logs.

Cheers,
Shiv

Just PM Rob.

Thatruth2001 07-17-2014 11:11 AM

Rob has not established a price. The Aux Charger is still beta and has been modified to support the 1.5 dump pack. The current unit is the 3rd design version. I have run the previous 2 versions. Hopefully I should receive my repaired unit next week.

After running the 1.5 pack now for a week plus, I recommend everyone running this setup purchases the aux booster. Though the main controller and charger can get the job done, the recharge and ability to put the unit into safety mode is way easier than before when running the 1.0 setup with Aux booster. I believe once the the aux changer is added, the entire setup will be perfect.

Hopefully, I can convenience Rob to play around with the pedal engagement mechanism next......

I ran into an issue with mounting the aux box per instructions....the HID housing on the BRZ appears to be much larger than the FRS...the heat sink fan is sitting on the housing and isn't flush with the frame of the car...(Red Circle)

it's a bad cellphone picture but best I can do at the moment...

@DAEMANO and I are thinking of going to Lowes/Home Depot to find some sort of bracket to mount the box lower, towards the front of the car. (Green Arrow)

OK, I can move the slotted bracket to the other side and make it universal.

Thanks!

I'm going to have that issue too. Thanks for the heads up. If you guys figure out anything can you post it?

Funny I was thinking the same thing last night...if only the bracket was on the other side..

Is this something we can do ourselves? It looks simple enough...I'm not too sure what to use to mount the bracket on the other side though. Maybe there's more to it than that.

It looks like the bracket is just held in place by two screws. Not sure if removing the screws and flipping the bracket yourself would be considered tampering but it looks easy enough

I'd be very cautious about putting screws into the side of a box full of electronics that I couldn't see the inside of first.

What i was saying i that there's already screws there. The bracket is held on by two screws -_-.
No drilling required......

Just making sure I am imagining properly what you're proposing. So to clarify, you're suggesting rotating the bracket 180 degrees so it effectively lowers the position of the top of the fan and hopefully then clearing the HID?

I'll have to time it. So far the only thing I've done is eyeballed is 23v back to 27v which happens in roughly 1.0 sec. To 28v another .5ish secs. I'll do some vids this weekend.

Phantom Aux Charger Install Video

[ame]http://youtu.be/vU_SX7OP9Rs[/ame]

shif7i7down 07-19-2014 06:33 AM

Quick questing:
Is it better/safer for the phantom system to have the in cabin toggle switch turned off and only turn it on when i know that i will use it.
OR:
Is it better to always keep it on and constantly in drag reduction mode even if i know i won't be going over 4krpm?

Which method would prolong the life of the product or Does it even matter?
