Possible, but highly improbable. The full page shots show the camera and page relation exactly fixed, like the camera was on a mount, and the brochure pages were just turned one after tha other.

Just a cellphone would be showing different views and movement thoughout the process. I call staged.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.... but the quality sucks and is tantalizingly unreadable... :coolpics: anyway!!!

:respekt::happyanim: ... This is immensely, ultra exciting!!! Just what I have been hoping for!!!!!!!

+1

Plus you can see there was another guy (and a dog) standing next to the brochure from start to finish, so the cameraman definitely didn't do this alone.

Dragonitti 11-15-2011 04:10 PM

Wait so it's not 5x114 :( I'm confused. Can someone make a solid statement on the wheel bolt pattern, cause I can't read Japanese.

Zgrinch 11-15-2011 04:10 PM

The TRD version is just sick looking:happy0180:

That's from a general Q&A section, hell it even shows a Vitz or Yaris or some other Toyota who's model name I don't care to know in the section.

Also, the PCD is clearly stated in the scans for both the 17x7 and 16x6.5 wheels.. it's 100. Also noted are the weights.. the 16x6.5 steel wheels are lighter than the 17x7 alloys... by over 4lbs per wheel.

20lb 17s.. lol yeah performance..

Dammit that sux. Oh well. Still very excited about this car. :happyanim:

no.. that's mathmatically impossible :)

205 is the torque and 147 is the HP, just using different measurements than ftlbs and BHP..

I wish it were 114.3 though, that would have made my life easier (and cheaper :P).

Oh well. Normally I would leave the stock wheels but 20lbs just hurts my head.. I'll order something right after I get the car probably :(

Dragonitti 11-15-2011 04:16 PM

I want the TRD with the Modellista rear. Sux's about the bolt pattern though. :(

keiri 11-15-2011 04:20 PM

These stock wheels are heavier than the 1st gen tC rims which are 19lbs a piece. Looks like Craigslist is going to have a lot of Scion FR-S wheels for sale shortly after this car goes on sale.

Yeah, oil pressure, battery voltage and a digi clock! Appealing to the eye but overkill for a street car IMO.

I probably won't use that pod and will figure something else out instead. My current cluster is this: http://www.itrexpo.com/users/dave/ITR/IMG_6155.jpg

posting link instead of image directly to not clutter the thread with an OT image.. plus the redline will make the "I want 300 torques" group cry :P

So I'd only really add Oil pressure and oil temp to a more custom mounting solution.. I like my audio....

Look at the scan that shows 3 wheel pics. It shows the wheel specs.. it's 100PCD.

Same, but heres the beautiful part.

They will be available wiring for it. Buy the 3 Gauges and just remount them else where!

It may be staged, but I absolutely believe that the story could be accurate. The framing of the table is different in each shot, the pages may all be centered but I'm assuming that was his intention. If the camera had been attached to a mount, that mount would have had to have been moved after every shot.

The legs belong to the guy taking the pictures. It was a cell phone camera, it took pictures in a landscape format when held vertically. The guy stood to the side of the manual so that the pages would fill the frame.

I'd also prefer the probably nicer looking and more accurate Defis or something :P Depends on what gauges/senders they use, but if they are just simple gauges that turn out to be not all that precise I won't want them anyways :) I also like the warning features of some of the aftermarket gauges.

old greg 11-15-2011 04:42 PM

Just noticed this, but the TRD model appears to come with the same BBS wheels as the Gazoo Racing car from the VLN race.

^ this is the guy that took the pictures

it wasn't staged, it was a cellphone, in another article he was getting his vitz serviced when he took the photos.

The 16s are steel wheels, just get some nice 16" alloys, although nice tire selection is a little harder to find..

Mr.Jay 11-15-2011 05:10 PM

I was thinking of buying the low spec and modding it to my own taste but damn the TRD version might just be perfect for me... was really hoping not to spend 30K+ on this

Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Volt meter

ryridesmotox 11-15-2011 05:15 PM

I vote for, oil temp, oil pressure, trans temp. If I do get this thing, I'll be installing those anyways... and if those come on it... I will only need like 2 other aeroforce gauges to monitor anything else. lol.

Ditto... WoW...not to add work to your plate, but I'm looking forward to your awesome data/fact sheet being updated soon, once everything pertinent has been gleaned.

JoeJoseJoseph 11-15-2011 05:18 PM

Are the concept ii wheels available? I couldn't read its weight, hope its lighter.

Damn toyota, I wanted a stick shift and now you made me all the more confused with the IS-F based AT!

I might have to wait till BRZ Sti comes out :(

Where are you seeing that the 16s are steel? They look like alloys here:

Yes.. Your chops are awesome, and that data sheet is going to be the bomb so we all have one place go for all the options as I am constantly flipping from one thread to another.
+1 on getting the BRZ data and most of all pricing! Thanks for all your hard work.
