Seems like you guys got it together at swift racing. Can't wait for my header back exhaust from you guys to get here! This is next on my list. Let me know when I can order...

intake w/ piggyback sounds tempting .. was pretty much set with Agency Power exhaust but this could turn my head towards the SRT exhaust.. |

Again I'm not saying your wrong, but conventional wisdom does. So I'd like to see these test you speak of, since I can't seem to find any of them on this forum. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

That, coupled with the fact that every intake on the market is a variation of a SRI (so far) is pretty indicative. |

As far as the intakes being SRI, i see them being more of a ram air intake. They are utilizing an effective factory system (the intake piping into the bumper) Rereading my post, it sounded kind of ****ish. If it came off that way my bad, I have a bad habit of doing that unintentionally Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |
where does the turbonator go? :D

I definitely like this different approach. It actually looks really cool and extremely well made as well as 'industrial' in appearance. Clean welds. Very nice. I am curious as to how it sounds as well as non-tune HP gains. Props to you guys for innovation! |
Would look cooler with a filter on both sides :)
I like it. |
How about a vid of the intake and one with header back exhaust also.....?

Of course, the stock tuning is conservative. It will do better with a tune, but visconti's standard tune should take into account mods of this nature without requiring additional logging/tuning. The one pitfall is that in order to keep the MAF signal to the ECU correct, the diameter of the tubing where the MAF sits must be maintained. If it's sitting in a larger-diameter tube, the MAF will report less airflow to the ecu than is actually flowing. If that's the case, either a tune specific to the intake needs to be flashed or the MAF signal needs to be modified. Systems like those on Hondas rely on MAP sensors and throttle position to calculate airflow. These systems will not compensate for devices that change the volumetric efficiency of the engine and will need to be tuned for best results. -Justin |
Any updates?

We are trying to finish up the heat shield for the filter at the moment and will try to get the car on the dyno by weeks end.
|
I don't know if this has been answered or not, but if we get this all parts of yours will you be able to give us a map to slap on this piggy-back?
Like some SRT specific tune for intake and full exhaust? |

hurry up and take my money!

Beautiful -- but why maintain the 90* bend? Why not just straight into the horn with a nice filter and the air box you've fabbed? Then you could duct air from the side (or possibly even the front) as usual. No room?
Make something like this for the 370Z please! |
That's what I thought it was gonna be initially too. A ram air intake system would be awesome. Especially if it made more power throughout the rev range.
|
I'm sure the heat shield is going to set this thing off!
|
Assuming the dyno is good, I may be going with the full SRT setup on my car. Is it right to assume you'll be doing this on the dyno with the headerback exhaust also?
|
I was hoping they would do something like the Corvette picture shown earlier in the thread.
Im interested in the dyno number this thing puts out because my mind is just boggled at how this is an effective setup past the velocity stack piece. Disclaimer: I am no rocket scientist and have no intelligence or knowledge of how to effectively suck air through anything more than a straw. Just saying. |
Okay, I see why you have things oriented this way. That's a truly beautiful design and the welds look great.
Very intrigued to see how it works out -- tuning will definitely be needed since you have relocated the MAF sensor. |
i want to hear this bad boy.
|
Sweet setup, cant wait to see it finished and power results. Tho, would you guys be willing to put the sound tube connection back on as a per order request. I may be silly but I like how it sounds.

Is there a general price range you're targeting?

We have not figured out 100% on what the pricing will be as of yet. As soon as we have all the different parts figured out and we can do a cost analysis we will give you pricing information.

You guys really went above and beyond on the design of this thing. When many companies would just throw a filter on a pipe.
I have seen a lot of parts over the years, and this impresses the hell out of me. Bravo. |

So many companies are taking advantage of the limited products available right now . They throw some garbage together overnight and charge a gazillion dollars for it Im glad a real tuner is taking time and actually developing functional products. |
I notice that the front rail (or radiator support of whatever that's called)is now firmly connected to the throttle bottle through the box and tube. Will this setup increase the damage potential to the throttle body and the intake manifold in a front end collision? I guess if you run into something hard enough to hurt that rail , there are more issues to deal with.
|
This intakes looks pretty sick and unique. With that said, I have a feeling it will over 500 bucks. All your products look and sound awesome. With good performance to boot. But it's also reflected in the prices. You get what you pay for.
Hopefully later on I can afford SRT products. Good job. :) |
SRT! SRT! SRT! I need more pics and updates on the intake....please....
|
Dyno update!!!!! :)
|
Wow. This is interesting.
|
Nothing in awhile regarding development. Problem?
