Lexen 15% Tints 07.01.2021
Removed the 60% tints on the side windows and put on 15% Lexen Precut Ceramic Tint from eBay. First time on the 86, the passenger side cutout was not right so contacted Lexen and they sent a new one which fitted much better. Only compliant is the cutout does not curve exactly like the top of window so I couldn't get the tint edge any closer to the top edge of the window. The gap is much bigger than the professionally installed one I had but there are no light gaps from inside with the Lexen so I'm okay with it. I'm too scared of messing up the rear window with the precut so I left my old tint. Maybe one day.

VIN Number Edit 07.18.2021
Borrowed my friend's Tactrix cable to edit the VIN number on my manual ECU. Turns out I can't pass emissions without the ECU VIN matching the VIN on the registration duh. So with the help of from a free Techstream download and the cable into the OBDII port I was able to edit the VIN.

GCS 4th Brake Light/Reverse Light 08.20.2021
Installed GCS 4th Brake Light in the smoked colorway. I also purchased a taillight T adapter harness separately off of a guy on Facebook group. It saved me from having to tap into the OEM wires. Overall easy install with some addition of solder on the ends of the 4th brake light wires to be able to crimp them securely to the plugs. I wish the reverse lights were brighter though.

Clear Zenki Taillights - 09.07.2021
Got a set of OEM zenki taillights with the intention to clearing them out. Cut them open and spray painted the red parts silver. Used epoxy to glue some parts back together. Used 3D printer PLA filament and soldering iron to bond the lens and backing together. Noticed after a day of driving in the rain, the left side had some condensation but the right side was dry. Going to go back and check the left side for holes again.

Motoshield Pro Nano Ceramic Front Window Tint 09.19.2021
Installed Motoshield Pro Nano Ceramic front window tint 70%. Used reverse rolling technique for the first time to transfer the tint from the outside to the inside of the windshield. My work wasn't perfect but I am satisfied with the results for only $55 to get the precut tint.

Caught a sale and got some new ZE40s! Honestly a dream wheel of mine alongside the basic but GOATED TE37. Didn't have a choice with the gold color though, gonna be real flashy. Had to pair it with some Project Kics R26 lug nuts and iconic orange hub centric rings. Need to get some 1/2" plugs to cover up the exposed studs so it doesn't start rusting.

Cracked Front Pipe 10.03.2021
Absolutely cracked my HKS front pipe on some a cap on the ground and uneven road at the gas station. Very sad since the front pipe is discontinued now. I opted to fix with some steel reinforced JB Weld. Seems to have fixed the leak. But later on got check engine light...found one of my head to over pipe bolt missing. After putting a new bolt still having the light pop up...not sure what to do.

I wanted some cheaper summer tires instead of going with the PS4S. Old clutch pedal stopper got destroyed. I was supposed to change it when I did the manual swap but I forgot to. It was kinda hard to get the rubber back in, had to wet it with some water and pull on it from the other side with pliers.

Got the tires finally mounted up at NTB Germantown. Would not go there again if you want your wheels to be scratch free. They chipped away the paint at the center of the wheel which is probably due to putting it on and off the tire balance. They also scratched the inner barrel at at a few spots. Also got new preprogramed Huf TPMS sensors off TPMS.com. The front fitment is as flush as it gets but the rear could use less camber.

Various OEM Parts 11.19.2021
Replaced/Installed various OEM parts. Turns out I was missing a bolt that holds the brake/clutch pedal assembly and it would flex without the bolt so got a replacement bolt. The mud flap thing ripped a long time ago, tried to fix it but didn't work so go new one. New center console mat, misplaced it when doing the manual swap. Finally, new truck mat that says Subaru.

Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn 11.19.2021
Installed the Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn module which turns the brake lights also into the turn signal with a straight forward plug and play. This way I can remove the ugly yellow halogen bulb and replace it with a white LED. This kit can also turn the turn signal bulb into the reverse light but I decided not to since its cleaner with just the bottom reverse LEDs. Also didn't want to tap into the wires. I love the new turn signal look wish I installed it sooner, didn't know it was that easy to install.

Someone Tried Stealing My Wheels? 11.30.2021
Sadly, one night, I noticed my fender has been messed up from what seems like someone trying to jack up my car (probably to get to my wheels). They completely missed my pinch weld and jacked directly on the fender. I'm not sure where it happened as I was parked at multiple places at my university campus. Luckily but unluckily, either the fender getting crushed or my lock nuts deterred them away. But, I was left with a mess.
Options: Get a new fender and bring the car to a body shop to respray it and hopefully blend the white paint. Get the TRD style side skirts to cover up the damage. But would need to get this sprayed white as well as I don't like the all black plastic look. Thinking of using 3 stage AutomotiveTouchup spray paint (Crystal White Pearl K1X) since I don't mind the finish not being perfect. Authentic painted TRD side skirts are kinda expensive... Will figure this out come the spring time. Also, can see some caps I put on the R26 lug nuts to hopefully prevent water and salt from entering and rusting the studs/lugs. They are 1/2" black plastic hole plugs off Amazon. After 39k miles, got a new battery. The stock one had been dying on me from time to time after the manual swap. Probably from stalling too much and when I didn't connect the alternator properly after the manual swap hahaha. I like the look of the stock battery the best though.

Got Michelin CrossClimate 2 215/45R17 mounted on my stock wheels. These are all weather tires since I'll be daily driving it for my 1 hour commute to work. Didn't get winter tires since I'm thinking Maryland weather isn't consistently cold and doesn't snow enough. These kinda have a unique sound on the highway like you can hear the rumble of the aggressive treads. But I got used to it. Ordered and mounted at Costco. I put the stock wheels back on for them but they said it was too low for them so I had to go there myself and remove the wheels.
