Special order only with 3 months lead time. We dont plan to market it heavily since we want to make sure wheels are within an acceptable price range. But dont worry, in the coming month there will be an additional exciting wheel we will be introducing that should fulfill your need ;)

Ah thank you for the info. Well, when I saw those I thought they would look really nice on my 2008 STi. My current wheel is basically identical stat-wise, still deciding if I want to keep them or sell em and switch to an 18x10.

Once we are ready, I will start another thread with the design.

Believe it or not, the wheels are truly an international effort. Its under the brand by a japanese drift driver who came to race in the U.S and made famous by winning a us drifting championship and then decided to provide good quality wheels to his fans but not the inexpensive stuff made in China but in Taiwan....:thumbsup: So would that qualify as a japanese wheel?;)

yes, with an aggressive drop and a tad of camber no problem.

For front fitment would you say that 1.5 - 2 deg of neg camber and about 1-1.5 inch drop be ok?

Yes a fairly minor adjustment would yield great results.

Flat Black VW 01-11-2013 03:54 PM

any more pics of these wheels installed? Pretty interested in these.

Liebot 01-18-2013 12:08 AM

Those DY-37's are so sick. I cannot wait for winter to be over so I can get some on my new asphalt FR-S.

JDM_OBP 01-19-2013 08:18 AM

Where can I order the D-37 in 18x10? Only see 18x8 on the DTR site.

*Edit- nvm I'm dumb, just used the link you provided on pg2

BBS Rk? Don't know that wheel... But looking up the web, the general vague similarity might be the champion? The champion actually looks completely different from the wheel u mentioned... If you do a search on yoshihara champions on this forum or even the web, you will be able to see them on the FRS.

You're correct, I was talking of the champion.

Probably due to a lack in expertise of wheels, I don't notice details that allow you do identify differences, but I thought they looked similar. ;) It's a compliment. I love the Champions, may have changed my mind on wheel choice.

Step lip design, no accent holes and rivet section differs as well. In addition champions have more curvature. I can see where you would see similarities but there are so many split 5 designs out there that look similar it's easy to make that assumption. Most wheels out there have some similarity to one another :)

So true... Went through the wheel thread again and saw about 4 that were more similar to the RK than the champions. Go figure.

yoshiharadesign 07-02-2013 09:19 PM

:) wheels IMHO has reached a point where designs are reaching its limits if taking weight into consideration. There are only so many things you can do any design where things start looking similar to each other.

Just spent hours in the wheel thread to conclude ^

Any updates???

TmP 05-22-2014 06:21 PM

Yeah... These are the ones I think.
Would love to see a pic on a slammed car with 2 degrees of front camber.

Tires:
What will fit?
235 40, 245 40? Want a square setup.

I currently have these on my brz, but the clear coat is pretty cracked and faded. Can i remove the bolts and remove the lip with the tire still on in order to refinish the face and lip seperately or would i need to take off the tire?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6a6e928baa.jpg

Ummmmm. No. The guy you quoted says they are one piece. The "bolts" are most likely plastic. IMO, the wheel looks fine; like any wheel of its age and value. I would be more concerned about the 45 series 18" tire. It is to tall. It should be a 35 or 40 series, depending on width.

Anyway, if you want to paint the wheel, you can tape it off and paint it with the tire on it. If you want to powder coat; you will have to remove the tire. They will have to put the wheel in an oven to "cure" the powder.

I know it's possible to re-clear coat the wheel. But clearing over the messed up clear coat won't fix it. You would have to strip the old off first. You can polish off the bad clear. I've done this, it is time consuming. Maybe someone else can chime in with some tips on how to make stripping and re-clearing easier.

If they were mine and I wanted to change them... I would paint them dark silver or bronze. Tape off the lips, scuff the centers, prime, paint, and then clear them. The primer and paint will fill in the light scratches.

Good luck!

This wheel originally came off a forester. (This pic is when i originally got the wheels) which is why the tire is so big. Since then i put 255/35r18 on them.

But i want to separate the wheel and the lip because i want to use paint stripper to remove the old clear coat. I want the paint them as im not a huge fan of the polished aluminum/chrome look. Im leaning towards a bronze lip/barell and a black face.

I just want to know if i can take off the lip with the tire on or if that lip is whats holding the tire bead in. What confused me is when they said its a one piece with a separate lip. Made me think the lip is not where the bead sits. If that makes sense?

I meant when he said its a one piece wheel with a step lip. One piece wheel means one piece, but with a step lip makes me think the lip is another piece?
Otherwise isnt it obvious that if it were a one piece, why say its a one piece with a step lip. maybe im over thinking it lol

Definitely overthinking it.

I used to own these.
They are 100% a single piece of metal.
The bolts are fake, and the lip is chrome plastic. Have fun trying to re-clear that POS.
