Mine just went up for no reason when I added a rental endorsement. Rental was only an extra $25 a year but policy went up another $120. Total payment per month is $163. I wonder if all these FR-S accidents are causing the policy increases.

I have geico. I selected the highest coverage available online, with ALL added options. Towing, rental car, etc... My deductible is $200. I pay $57.50 per month. I am happy. Progressive was charging me $90 for half the coverage!

sounds like some of you got great deal on insurance... I wonder if the cost to insure FRS and BRZ are the same ...

I've posted this before in another thread on the FRS/BRZ insurance (can't find it now however) - the rates on these cars are going to fluctuate. Right now, a lot of the insurance companies systems, will not populate the vehicle specifics based on the VIN because its too new. Which is why they "manually over-ride" it to show the cars' specifics. What will happen - is after the next year or so when crash/safety ratings become more accurate after time, the VINs will start to populate and pull a more "accurate" rate if you will. Don't be surprised if after 6 months to a year (depending on your policy term) that the rate changes on these. I know first hand as I work for one of the bigger named companies out there. :)

im 25 clean record like 120 a month :-D

yeah youre a kid expect to pay out the ass. youre technically on the assigned risk since youve probably not had your license for more than a year or so.

if you do get this car dont go speeding youll make all our rates go up :barf:

I'm 24 y/o with 1 minor accident (not@fault) and charged one reckless last year or so. I'm paying about 200/month for just the frs. My Camry is 400/6months and Suzuki gs500e is 350/year. All of my insurances are with American family

I'm 24 and pay roughly 590ish for 6 months with state farm.

GEICO
33, Married, Homeowner, 4 vehicles on policy, 10 year no claims (me)
30, Married, Homeowner, Same policy as me, has only been on policy about 3 years, no claims (wife)
20/40/50 with 20/40 uninsured motorist BI
$500 Comp & Collision deductible
$107/mo

Seems entirely too high, but no one else offered a better deal. We have crap insurance rates in Louisiana due to all of the people driving without insurance.

23 yr old male college grad. At fault accident 2 years ago, speeding ticket 3 years ago.

Geico. 100/300
Leased FR-S
$235/month

Was paying $90/month on my Jetta last year, but when I sold it I accidentally cancelled the insurance instead of suspending it while looking for a new car. So now every insurance company treats me like a driver with zero previous insurance coverage. Not a good thing, guys

$7/month with Statefarm....

...but that's because the car is parked for the winter.

I guess you don't have a loan on it since banks require insurance to be maintained throughout the life of the loan.

Some states also require insurance as long as the vehicle is registered, and related to that, banks will require any vehicle on a loan to be registered while the loan is open.
