Money would have been better spent on a nicer sounding factory exhaust with descent looking tips. |

I've read that for better HP performance it's a good idea to leave the resonator on with a new induction hose. Is this true?

If you delete do make sure you plug the hole with something that won't get sucked in otherwise you are just sucking unfiltered air. There are at least half a dozen good threads on here on what to do. |

installed and the noise amplifier deleted. This setup provided the best HP and TQ as well as the lowest noise in the cabin." Their numbers from dyno runs report a 3 WHP hit removing the resonator. Guess it does matter. :eyebulge: |

The resonator DOES NOT change your horsepower in any way. Their claim is that their intake tube gives 3 more WHP NOT the resonator! The sound tube and resonator are just a big kazoo for noise only. There are many threads on here that explain that just take a look! |

The increase is for the INTAKE PIPE not the resonator. Anyway an increase of 3 WHP on a dyno is almost impossible to attribute to one thing. Did they have exactly the same weather conditions, fuel, etc.???? Of course a manufacturer is going to say they got an increase. If resonators could increase WHP there would be a raft of people posting "WOW just got the ultra super racing resonator and now I can take on Porsches". To date I seem to have missed these posts. If you really think that a resonator is a great mod for WHP let's meet up on the track and race for pinks OK? |
