We love our auto and track it on a semi regular basis. There's some speculation that equally prepped auto vs manual on a track, the auto could be quicker due to the efficiency of the gear changes. On some tracks, I'm able to up and downshift quick enough to make the gear changes worthwhile, but the manual guys leave it in third and bog rather than lose time shifting.

We're testing a canned tune for the automagic right now, and will let everyone know when it's ready. So far the power increase is significant in the top third of the rev range, and we're smoothing out the daily drivability.

I currently drive an Automatic Gt86, supercharged. It produces around 270 hp on wheel. Personally, the car is fun to drive and in terms of handling the car is top notch. But speaking of speed, I'm genuinely not satisfied with it. I had thoughts on upgrading it to stage 3 but the main problem is with its transmission. An automatic Gt86 is not that good on handling boosts therefore if I proceed to upgrade it to stage 3 and switching from supercharged to turbo, i'll end up with an overheating transmission quite often and that's basically why I keep it in stage 2+ untill now. It really depend on you, if you have the money for the maintanance and stuff then go for it.
