LA to DC and averaged 26.8 MPG with the help of some Velox aero.

The trailer weighted about 800lbs. Has a flat bottom & some simple aero treatments.

The trailer has a single piece flat bottom that sweeps up at the rear like a diffuser, it has basically a front skirt to get the front end as close to the ground as possible, and I made detachable tail flaps like you see on semi trailers.
I moved, so all my worldly belongings..

I wish it was just light living. It was more of an economic decision. I figured that $4500 for the truck and trailer plus the cost of gas wasn't worth the depreciated value of my things, so I sold and gave away pretty much everything I owned then bought all new stuff when I got out here.

Well that's one way of ....... thinning out ...... :thumbsup:

The hitches that screw into the tow hooks are handy, but I wouldn't get anywhere close to what you would tow with other cars. Not because the twins cant handle it, but because of how these hitches attach. Two bolts screwed into the tow hook ports are not the same as a proper hitch with supports built into the shape mounted with 6-8 bolts into the frame of the car. If you have a nicely balanced light trailer with very little vertical weight at the ball, I'm sure its fine. Just be aware that the tow hooks are designed to be pulled on horizontally, not vertically loaded with weight.
