Not to mention different flow rates at the same boost pressure depending on the compressor used in the particular kit, different maf placement from kit to kit (changes the airflow pattern around the maf), etc etc. Different size charge pipes, inter-cooler efficiency etc. Though mainly the flow rate and maf placement.

+1
Vortech engineers spent a lot of time with MAF sensor placement and housing diameter. They ended up locating it in an enlarged intercooler pipe with sufficient straight section before and after the MAF element. Required a patch harness extension but paid off in the end.

That's pretty awesome support!

That's the way it "should be". Especially when you show up at their Facility.

You can imagine what it's like when you're spending $15K-$20K on your GT3, and there is a line out the door. Figuratively of course.

I just realized I never quoted Shiv. I was talking about logging parameters since Shiv said it was tuned 100% logging with the OFT.

Ah got it. Just the same 12 channels that are curreu available with OFT logging. The next update will give the user up to 50 channels to choose from.

Someone let Shiv borrow their AVO/JDL turbo car so I don't have to buy the overpriced ecutek stuff. :) I can only dream...

You were effectively able to tune an FI kit with those parameters? Nice. I really can't wait for the extra ones to become available, and it is nice to see this platform as a whole progress.

I was asking about free OTS tunes, not custom paid tunes. Shiv's reply answered about free OTS tunes, which is what I was saying was awesome support.

Its a tad more complicated than that. You don't simply just tune X fuel supply for X rpm. Typically our cars are tuned with a maf sensor. And in the case of say a jackson racing supercharger if you remove the catalytic converters in the car the MAF sensor maxes out at 5.0v and cannot read the additional fuel at higher RPM. Thus alternate techniques are required.

How did ur engine go?
