I'll be looking forward to this in the very near future. When are oyu planning on running generic FI maps? I know you have a lot on your plate, I'm just trying to decide on running this or a haltech unit. OFC I already bought this and have been happy with it so far.

Can we use this tune even if we don't have the EL header? Or will there be another tune released that doesn't require the header? Thank you for the great work!

Thanks. I was also asking @ mkivsoopra but I would like to hear your feedback as well...
This is from another member on a thread I created, he says, "E85 however is also more corrosive. Only time will tell how our system will handle E85. Give it a few years for concrete evidence of how our vehicle handles This. We have two fuel systems (DI & Port) and very little has been tested. However there are a number of vehicles that have been running ethanol based fuels for a fair number of miles. E85 also tends to "clean" the engine. It typically has a slight water content, as well as its corrosive properties tend to keep the internals nice and clean. This however also can damage seals and other components not rated for ethanol. However our cars are regulated by US regulations to handle a specific % of ethanol tolerance. Increasing the ethanol % will just increase corrosion. So there are ups and downs to E85 compared to other fuels. So to recap: The Good Higher octane Better cooling properties Carbon buildup preventive/cleaning Lower cost per gallon The Bad Increased corrosive properties. This may cause problems down the road Untested long term in our vehicles More injection required to run stoich. This means lower fuel economy and more frequent fill ups. Should technically require a dyno tune for optimal power gains. (There are still some gains that can be generically and or done via remote tuning!) The Ugly Don't believe anyone that says it is 100% safe. They are likely trying to sell something to you. This has not been tested long term, however it has been tested on quite a few vehicles. ----------------------- Would you agree and what have you noticed? Is this true? |

e85...done phantom...Pending/scheduled e85 flexfuel?...this is the last thing I'm waiting for |
I'd also like to know if this will be safe to run without the header. There's two E85 station in San Diego but one happens to be right by where I work...so I mean.... FOR SCIENCE!

I also wanted to say thanks for providing this to the community. With the results you just posted, for the people who want to stay NA, we can now do so at an affordable cost AND we can safely say we compete with a Honda s2000's (AP2) power. I would really like to see a head-to-head of a s2000 vs. FRS with the specs you provided.
I think this helps put NA vs FI in perspective as well. It did for me at least. After seeing this, NA seems like a more sensible way to go at least for now. |
I'm just excited to get e85 at this point. I plan on going FI, but I like the progressive stages we are starting with hehe

Is there a dynojet result for this same setup on premium fuel? It would be nice to compare apples to apples since the Stage 2 dyno in the other thread is Mustang and does not compare to stock.
