Dezoris, did you have luck bedding in your 2500s on the street? Even with my AP England kit I found it difficult to heat up the pads to the degree I'm used to when bedding in.

Something something single life is wayyy better.

It was very difficult to do, I had to go and blast them twice.

65-10 stops about 15 times. Cooled, did it again.
Then after about 2 days layer was gone. Tracked it, layer was good for a week, bedded again. Point being, thats why I am switching to true street pads.

True street pads...? I'm not even aware of the existence of pads less aggressive than intermediate pads like the DS2500, Carbotech Bobcats, etc.

He's getting the 1521 (bobcat).... lol.

DS2500 is closer to a AX6/XP8 (AP7 or XX7? lol)

I imagine the phone call was something like "MIKE. MY BRAKES ARE TOO GOOD. HALPPPPPP!"

:laughabove:

I've had a few from people saying the were surprised the brakes didn't fade, so then they proceeded purposely TRY to fade them, and failed miserably.

I may have been one of those people myself...

I have had to serious adjust my braking habits. On the street I always coast, engine brake. With these pads I have been speeding up before stops and slamming on them to get heat in the pads. My drive is 15 minutes, one way I use the brakes maybe 5 times during the trip if I am lucky. Never get heat in them so wimpy street pads will feel racey.

I had been wondering if there was a street friendly pad for the sprint kit. Something like a Ferodo DSperformance or maye an EBC greenstuff etc.

Man... after Mike's initial review of this kit, I was already very seriously considering this kit. Now, after reading this, I'm feeling kind of sold. And I'm at work, so I haven't even seen the video yet.

My Hawk HPS are very comparable to stock. I might actually switch back to those since my DS2500 are hard to stop squealing since I never bedded them in properly. It's pretty easy to modulate the squealing tho.

On the other hand my AP Racing C300 squeal like crazy

Let us know when you're ready :)

I do believe we have THE largest selection of pads for this caliper too...

Haha I dont do that on the street, unless there are free hot dogs somewhere. Once I come up for air I will send you the XP10s so I can get some bobcats to play with.
