The 2011-2013 v6 stangs only weigh 3400 bro. Thats not "boat heavy" the camaro and challenger however are both 3800 or higher.. Also i currently drive a 3900 lb mazdaspeed6 and i "feel" the road just fine. Ive driven my dads 2008 v6 mustang and my friends 2011 v6.. When you are putting 285 hp to the rear wheels stock you feel the road bro. Add to that some aftermarket exhaust to make her roar like she should. Maybe some front and rear sway bars anx you have a incredibly fast, amazing sounding beast that is a joy every time u turn the key

I'm aware that Ford has improved the stang in many areas, but IMHO the interior/exterior quality is just not there yet. I would rather pay more to get a sense of quality and craftmanship. I know I haven't sat in, or even seen in person, the BRZ, but I highly doubt that the BRZ will have equal or, especially lesser, quality than the Mustang. BTW, I sat in like 5 or 6 of them at the LA auto show this year.

The BRZ/FR-S
1- Affordable
2- sexy little 2+2 hardtop coupe
3- it has a well balanced chassis and the RWD fun.
4- the engine is a unique sporty flat4 with nice note.
5- good MPG
its hard to find all those things in one car at the moment.

There is no competition -- the people want a small, underpowered, overbraked car that has little to no traction

No one cares about power or putting it down anymore -- or so I've been told over and over again on here :slap:

In all seriousness, tho', yeah, you will see way more Rustangs on the road.

The brz will have better interior but not the fr s. I had a 2008 tc and the interior was about the sane in quality as the new mustangs imo

rwhp=road feel?

I've yet to find a naturally aspirated V6 that I can enjoy listening to, If your going to perform any modifications to the exhaust then please twin [turbocharge] it so that it's muffled. kthxbye

You should listen to the 2011+ V6 Mustang, no joke, it actually does sound good, both in the cabin and out.

2008 and 2011 engines are completly differnt, my friend has a 2010 mustang 210 HP 240tq, his 3300 lb car feels like a boat to my 2500 lb car... Im putting 180 to the ground ATM in my beater ;p

Well the best I can do at the moment is youtube vids. I looked at a bunch of the exhausts videos for the 11-12 V6 and none really "struck a chord". The Bassani Axle Back is probably the only one I would actually consider if I had a 3.7 Duratec Mustang.

It's just a personal preference, we all have our quirks...

Try to just listen to a stock one if you can. There isn't really a super pleasing sounding V6 out there, but to me it's one of the better ones. Much better than the VQ series. You gotta keep in mind that it makes 305hp and still gets 30mpg. Not only that but it only costs $19k brand spankin' new.

Like you said though, just personal preference - still hard to beat though.

There's no argument the sounds made by a V8 have a special sound, or should I say rumble that not many other motors can match.

Thing with a Mustang (V6 or V8) is that you see them all over. You see teenagers and old grandmas driving them. Not to mention issues with re-sale when you eventually want to sell it. I would prefer to take a GC personally as it fits my style more and I rarely see another one on the road.

I don't really have anything against the Mustang and I agree with you and it's a great value. Yes, it is better that the symphony of drone [VQ]. I'm not really a Stang or Ford guy, though... I would take any of them with one of the V8s before the Mustang II, and if I were a budget drag racer I definitely look into a Fox Body.

It's one of those things where bang for buck; I'd race out the door and get one. Unfortunately everyone else does and that causes some sort of moral car code individuality problem with me.

I had this epiphany when I bought the XRS, I was looking through the DD eco compact drones and stumbled across it. I could tell just by looking at it that something was different, "special or unique" in someway. Now I can't settle with a conventional and generic vehicle.

Hence my continued interest in the FR-S and BRZ. I found there were many things that cause this car not to be generic, everything from mechanical to spirt.

chulooz 03-06-2012 12:42 AM

Motherfucker just called his corolla unique. Mind blown.
