+1. One other point, the base ICE HU is the toady looking one, but you will be able to option up to a couple of others, probably including the new BeSpoke system with a huge touch screen Toyota is just introducing. Bet it will cost you 2k though.

Scion's been trying to make the Factory head units a flavor thing for a few years now. When a scion comes in for PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) they have no audio controls installed. The idea is that the buyer can pick whichever head unit they want without paying for the "base" one. which means lower costs for the upgrade. Unfortunately, unless it has changed, I recall the upgrade price being less than appealing especially when compared aftermarket options.

To be fair, little of what we know is official yet. so far as I understand it, the Canadian FRS will not have the red stitching found in the us trim, and it will come with heated side view mirrors. It should be emphasized that the US FRS's equipment has yet to be confirmed, though I believe we have a pretty good idea from what we've seen.

Thank you for responding and being so helpful. This is the sort of answer I expected. Again, thank you for making me feel welcome again.

I think I sort of get the OP now. I think he means that the red stiching (as you confirmed) and the red parts of the seat bolsters are going to be removed for the Canadian FR-S. That part seems pretty clear to me now. Originally I thought he was sitting in a GT86, hence the 2 photos I posted.

I can't wait to see what the FR-S has included for both the US and CAN models. Just like everyone, I can't wait to get my hands on this car. June can't come soon enough for me.

Thanks again for taking the time to help.

You won't be getting the black gauges in the FRS you can always swap with a subie tho

[QUOTE=bneale;137950]So let me get this straight, did the car you sat in look like this?

http://www.carthrottle.com/wp-conten...1/GT86int5.jpg

Or did it look like this?

http://image.motortrend.com/f/347516...S-interior.jpg

1st pic - Door handle, hand brake, shift knob, seat and steering wheel way too much red in that interior imo.
2nd pic - subtle touch of red just right

All that = EXACTLY how i want my FRS!

LOL. Is that what they're called? I've been calling them "Takumi" wheels the whole time :) Also, for those who didn't see it, there's pix of the BRZ with those wheels over in the Subie side.

The car I sat in was a prototype (ie. American car). I was told that the Canadian version would not have any of the red accents in the interior but everything else would be the same as the prototype.

They are still working out what will be included for the Canadian model (as well as which accessories they will be selling) which also means they don't have a final price yet as it will be based on the decisions they make with regards to what is included in the car. Heated seats are confirmed out though :(

Scions in Canada (not sure about US) do not have trim levels, so they have to carefully balance msrp vs. standard equipment since there is only one model.

Wish this car was turbo charged =( That's the only thing missing! I was debating with getting this car or the 2013 genesis 2.0L turbo charged, but the FRS looks sooooo much nicer by 100x
