It looks good man. Hope your liking this kit.

nice numbers! quick question here, i assume Evasive tuned it w/ Ecutek? do you still need HKS' Fcon computer installed along w/ the kit for the tune? I thought the kit comes w/ the Fcon, if so, what did you do w/ it? i might pick up the same kit locally to save on shipping.. do you know if Evasive do e-tuning? thanks!

Interesting... I just saw you in HB. Mentioned in the SoCal spotted thread.

Vortech SC Kit...
http://www.moto-east.com/dynos/ft86/..._brz_263hp.png

Hmmm... Both incidents are at 6500 RPM. I'll be checking out another Perrin tuned Vortech kit plus doing a HKS SC tune soon as well. I wonder what that issue is...

What's also interesting there is that one SC smooths out the torque mess at the lower rpms and the other does not but, as you observed, they both have the same problem up high.

I think that is a function of the headers more than the sc, I still had a little dip before I put the borla header in.

@Drift-Office @Pete

I have a pump/port injector upgrade coming on Monday then @moto-mike will be doing another tune on my car, I'm hoping that the upgrade will take care of the dip at 6600, otherwise I'm thinking maybe it's the borla collector fucking me

Which it could be because the stock collector is almost as bad as the borla collector.

The torque mess as you described is proportional to the amount of boost running (one's @ 7 and the other is at 9 if memory serves) with the latter other one running a Borla UEL? Without a boost log, I can't be sure but it's a good bet looking at the 2 graphs...

I didn't have that dip on the Borla UEL after I tuned it out ... and the latter OP said he has one in his car...

4th Gear, Before & After
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...psbdcf5b56.jpg

So it's an anomaly that's not SC related, not brand related, not fuel related (the latter had 700cc injectors?) and not necessarily boost related... I know I've run higher boost in that 6000+ RPM area and I've never seen that before... Weird.

Are both these cars AUTOMATIC?

My car the moto-east tuned vortech had borla and stock fuel pump/injectors I'm the dyno with the 263 max HP on the dyno jet, the stock baseline was not my car, it was the highest stock car moto dyno'd.

On Monday I'll be changing my pump/injectors to 290, 500 port injectors. Hope that clears up the confusion, my car is also MT.

I don't believe it's using the Fcon anymore and that it could be in my parts box that I still need to pick up but I'm unsure. If you contact Evasive they'll tell you everything you need to know.

I still had a small torque dip around 3500 RPM after I put in the S/C, but later when I installed the borla UEL the lower rpm dip went away entirely.

This is my dyno with the old blower (stock header) in blue vs. the new blower (after borla UEL) in green.

What is interesting about adeets' dyno is that he has a dip at 6500, but then the torque shoots back up afterwards. In my dyno my torque begins to decline at 6500, but I don't have the surge back up afterwards. If Moto-east has found a way to maintain torque levels all the way to redline that is great news for all supercharger owners. I'll be watching to see what he can do with it in the future.

Thank you BTW i'll send the link to them. I dont do fuel pumps or fuel injectors, I feel a professional would do a better job at the install.

Funny though, cuz i had no issues installing the vortech... but I guess fuel is where I draw the line.

It's not that hard, but so tricky. You have to pay attention to so much little details and then all instructions out there are not 1000% accurate. :(
