I don't think a NAV I don't need and HID being subjective for me I like the bumper of the BRZ but it's...not enough either. Is enough to justify the possible price increase between the two. But who knows.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I think the premium BRZ has different cloth seat than the FR-S. The BRZ cloth looks better from what I could tell from looking the photo. Also the headline assembly with the light bar surround and HID on the BRZ is much more attractive. I'm also wondering if the FR-S insurance would be higher down the road because it'll be driven more by the younger crowd. Another good thing about BRZ is the mechanics working at Subaru dealership has more experience with boxer engine than the Toyota mechanics. I am sticking with BRZ even if I was to get the base model.

If thats an issue you can take your FR-S to the Subaru dealer. Probably F with your warranty but, a well trained mechanic would be worth it to me.

A few interesting things:

- The rear spoiler was a lot flatter than I expected.

- There was no steering wheel buttons on the wheel and this was a limited version.

- Seat recliner was broken.

- Car looks really good in person

- I would say the rear seat room was pretty much the same as a Honda Prelude.

- You really do sit surprisingly low.

Nice! Thanks for that. How tall are you and about how high did the roof reach you?

You drive an S2k so would you say the front bumper/hood sit low like the S2k or taller?

How was the interior quality? Switchgear? Seats? Etc.

I am 6ft tall, the roof was somewhat close on the sides, but I felt like I had plenty of room. Similar to an S2000 with a hardtop.

The front hood and bumper are low, but I was pretty disappointed how big the gap was between the hood and front bumper were. I would say there was almost a quarter inch of weather stripping visible.

I would say its on par with a WRX. Adequate, but not super nice. Inside felt a lot like the 07 WRX I used to have, maybe a little bit nicer.

I can't believe I'm actually typing this.... I have been locked on dark grey for a while, but that silver is really growing on me.. Set of black rims and BAM.

So confused now....:confused0068:

This might be a tough decision... what do you think ?
Silver or Dark Grey:

Zaku 01-28-2012 11:56 AM

But Zgrinch you haven't seen either of them in real-life use that to decide. I haven't decided either if I get a Brz in silver or FRS in silver it will be my third car in the roll that's silver. The forester is green work car so it doesn't count. I might like dark grey in person who knows.

Dave-ROR 01-28-2012 12:02 PM

I didn't care for the silver in person myself just because it was so bland.
