In Oregon you need to pass emissions every time you need new license plate tags. When you buy a new car and get whatever plates the dealer gives you, they are good for 4 years. If you get custom plates, they are only good for 2 years. Emissions here is just them plugging in their cable under the drivers side to see if it's within specs so keep both cats (header and downpipe) in your car unless you want to swap out the catless with the oem cats each time you need to go to check emissions. Also both cats are better for the environment and also make your car quiet as it supposedly gets way too loud for daily driving without any cats. Sport cats are the best of both worlds in my opinion as they pass emission tests here and also increase performance.

I've heard from old school gear heads that there is no such thing as a "high flow cat", a cat is a cat, and all cats are made to not "free flow" through meow.

I like how Rene's red FRS turned out below!

Royal more in Hillsboro has them in stock from time to time. - also search Craigslist, I see them on there all the time. I got my red FRS there, and they had a hot lava last weekend. PM me if you want more info.

Hey guys quick question. The no sale tax in Oregon , does it also apply to car sales? Just wondering. If it does that's 2k of savings approximately!

There is no sales tax on ANYTHING... Oregon makes up for it on state income tax and property taxes on home ownership.

That's right. Best thing to do is live and work in WA, and shop in OR! That's what I do. :w00t:

Yeah I was thinking of doing that (living in Vancouver) but since I'm going to be going to School and the Universities I want to attend are here in Portland then I have to live in Oregon to get instate tuition. PCC is cool because they don't charge out of state tuition but PSU does and it will be crazy expensive in the long run...

Ok I figure I close this thread since I moved from Hawaii this past weekend and now I have my new Oregonian driver license. So now just need to get in the mix and see what being a portlander is all about. Super excited to be going to Portland Timbers season opener with my kid on Saturday.

Nice! Another Portland owner! Your first priority is to post up in here:

As long as @BrzRacer doesn't get added to the list as a red BRZ, I'll be happy as I'm the only red BRZ on the list. :) I do know a couple sold in the area but not sure where they ended up. Hopefully out of the area. I like being unique. :)

No worries, I kind of want the white one because of the whole Trueno concept I had in mind.

I spotted a brand new red BRZ from Carr Subaru on 217 twice now... So I think our red exclusivity is dwindling...
