I know this is a bit off topic, but a quick question...

I tend to use bluetooth a lot since it is illegal to be on the cell. in CA. I don't see any bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel. Where do you guys think they'll locate it? Of course, it can be on the dash, but that would mean that the driver would have to take his/her eyes off the road and a hand off the wheel, which "sort of" defeats the purpose of having bluetooth. So how do you guys think they solved that issue.

BTW, I know I'm splitting hairs, but a ticket for being on the phone is $150+ so it's sort of a big deal. Thanks in advance.

Although I like the 86/piston logo, I'm not sure if it's use is a little cheesy or ingeniously placed. The steering wheel on the other hand? I love it!

Regardless, the car has come out looking as I anticipated. You can see elements of the IS200 at the back, the original 86 and late Supra in the middle and the most recent Celica at the front. Yep, it looks like a Toyota car to me and all in a 1180kg package.

Fellow CA driver so I feel your pain. It looks like in the hi-res pictures of the interior there is a button on the Nav that reads "Tel" (Telephone). So I can only assume you press that button to answer/make a call. The placement looks good, located in the middle nearest to the driver side. I am pretty confident that within 2 days of driving finding that button will be muscle memory.

Thanks! I'm glad someone has taken the time to stop drooling and look at the small details. I'm sure after a short learning curve, getting to that button will be second nature. I was just wondering out loud as I'm so used to reaching for that button by feel on the steering wheel. :thanks:

It also looks like the high spec interior seems to have switches for seat warmers just behind/below the VSC buttons.

I hope LED DRL's will make it to the states.

1180 is the most basic.. the one with HIDs, LED DRLs, etc is over 100lbs heavier.

What an odd name....GT86. Don't get me wrong, I love that their keeping the AE86 reference with the name...just, it doesn't slide off the tongue all that well.

/shrug

I'm loving that orange the more I see it.

GT86 huh? that's a livable name, honestly FRS doesn't sound to bad haha. Looks great I cant wait to hear about ours, just hope that it wont cost so high 28K pound converted could probably let you get a 370Z easy if you talk to the right people and stuff.
