Yes I have to admit the toggle switches are nice but not worth the $2200 just for those buttons lol

Add me to the list of people who love it. It's all business in there and the seats are excellent.

i really like the interior. i like the darker panels over the silver on the brz. i wish i had an armrest but NBD. i like the old school clock, brings out that old AE flair. I really like the head rest, nice cushion

I like the interior well enough, but here are my complaints:
1. No panic handle for the passenger.
2. The cruise control location is a bit funky.
3. Multi-function and odometer display buttons are in a strange place (hidden behind the steering wheel) and aren't illuminated.
4. Analog speedometer is oriented in an inexplicable manner and the numbers are tiny, making it useless.
I could also do without the red interior accents.

1. I hate having panic handles because everyone starts hanging on them and they are only anchored by a screw and a plastic plug generally. I have seen how poorly reinforced they are as I have stripped the interiors on a number of race cars. So clean with no handle is much better imo.
2. Most of the cars I have owned have the cc in the same location.
3. I like that they have their own location and are not integrated into a button on the blinkers. This makes accessing/ resetting them MUCH easier.
4. Yeah the analog seems pretty useless, but I don't know how much of that is based on my dependency created by the large digital gauge.

Oh, and red accents are sexy. :burnrubber:

You know...if this was a Porsche the red stiching is called deviating stiching and would be a several hundred dollar charge!

I love the idea of the interior. The execution bothers me a bit.
Nice and spartan and clean is great. Love the buttonless steering wheel!

The freaking rattles are driving me nuts!
The HVAC controls feel cheap and just scream 90's Corolla at me.

When we are talking about rattles in the cockpit...

People say you should expect them because it is a sports car- WHY would a sports car be assembled in a way that parts would be loose and rattle?

What are the specific rattling parts we are talking about?

I have a popping sound in my car, but no rattles.

More details please.

No rattles or weird sounds in my 5,000 mile BRZ.

It's kind of cheap but it's comfortable enough. The carpet is really bad and the floormats are shit. Maybe I drag my heel too much but I've got 3000mi on my car and there's already a significantly worn spot under the clutch. Lack of an armrest doesn't bother me at all, I just lay my arm down on the center console and rest my hand around the e-brake. I have long arms though I guess.

yeah and my only sound (the popping) comes from the defect my car had. Other than that, I am good.

pr086 11-07-2012 02:59 PM

the only thing that bothers me is that we got stuck with the "plain" e-break. why couldn't they have put the red stitching on it like in the brz? it would make a big difference.

I like it, reminds me a bit of my 1992 Corolla.

I like the interior just fine. The red shoulder panels on the seats are a nice racy contrast to the Raven colour. Not so sure with Hot Lava though that is a very minor thing. Agreed the HVAC controls look like the rest of the Scion econo style but they are easy to use. The soft plastic on the dash is better quality than most all Toyotas except the new Camry with the stitched leatherette cover. I like the "T" pattern too as it reminds one of the 2000 GT. same logo as Toyota used on earlier models.

I just want wider wheels and stickier tires as well as 50-100 extra HP putting it into Cayman performance territory.

Have you noticed the dash fascia in the new Bentley Continental GT Speed? An interior option (with these it's all options) they are promoting is a dark aluminum turned fascia. Look at the configurator - http://www.bentleyconfigurator.com/ see if the pattern looks familiar. It's not fake carbon fiber - it's an aluminum turning pattern as seen in cars like the Type 59 GP Bugattis! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:19...ix_34_rear.jpg
In the Scion FR-S/GT86 the pattern is smaller (and in plastic), but the same.

Love mine, and you can solve the arm-rest issue (if needed) with a ten-buck pillow.
