Every time you use your clutch, some dust is created. That dust is then swirled at high velocities by a bunch of rpms of the engine. This is why you see a gritty mass on parts where grease was applied when someone is replacing a clutch for the second time because the dust sticks to the grease. From what I've seen, it looks like there is no grease applied from the factory. It might sound crazy, but you might want to put it together dry.
