PMing EvoXDD back. Unlike others, I have a family and life as well. Have to work/life/car balance.

EvoXDD ... Much appreciated. He got the last pipe. I had one more set aside but someone backed out. Therefore I still have one very last black painted CAI pipe left. Then no more!

What filter is the blue one above?

xcelir8brz 08-07-2012 09:23 AM

Spectre 8136

EvoXDD 08-07-2012 10:42 AM

Pm'd you about k&n filter and bracket. I will take that as well. Pm me when
You get a chance please. Thanks!

xcelir8brz 08-07-2012 11:22 AM

PM'd you.

EvoXDD 08-07-2012 12:16 PM

Thanks for the quick replies and help. This is going to be a fun project to tackle, just got to pick a filter. Thinking of going with Cobb, I like the blue and would think the quality is better than Spectre (could be wrong).

xcelir8brz 08-07-2012 12:20 PM

You can use any filter you want. We threw in a better quality spectre for the time being. I personally like K&N, but the fitment into the closed heat shield, the spectre fit perfect.

I'm still working on ideas and started to work with a few plastic manufacturers to assist in bringing plastic pipes 'officially' to market based on this aluminum design. Plastic is a much lower thermal conductor than aluminum, but it all depends on cost. Fitment will not be an issue. This may be months out, but hey, we'll see.

HOOLD UP....do you have an exhaust system or does it sound like that because of the intake and the fact that its in the garage?

Which car, which video? The FR-S is bone stock plus our intake system. The BRZ has an exhaust as well as pulley plus our intake system.

I wish we had a 'garage rev' video for the FR-S as it has a deep moaning tone which just sounds ridiculously awesome compared to the BRZ.
