I've been using General Tires for ten years now, started out on AS-03's had two sets of those on another vehicle. I have AS-05's on my Mazda 3 too and those have 6k or so on them, no issues. I only have 200 miles or so with the set on the BRZ, no complaints so far. General Tire is owned by Continental which is why I have a high confidence with them, not to mention the good performance. I've driven through snow and all kinds of crap wit the AS-03's.

37k on the Primacies with one track day, one autocross event, and plenty of slides when it is damp out. Was down to the wear bars on the rear and nearly as much on the front. Rotated every 7.5k. Honestly very impressed with them: super talkative, you can get the rear out easily, held air consistently, and resisted plenty of road hazards because of how hard the compound was.

I replaced them with the Pilot 4S since I was a fan of the PSS on my FR-S.

I hear great things about the Pilot AS3+ as an all around performer from my local 86 crew.

Changed them out at little over 60000 miles. Could have made 70k I think. Got a good deal on a set of Goodyear eagle sports for less than $500 installed. Have about 40000 miles on them now and think they will make 60k easy also

I couldn't stand the factory tires 6k later I replaced them with BFG G-force pro-comp a/s 2's way better tires.

I got a little over 40k miles til I hit the wear bars and replaced.

Continental would be a good choice. Comfy, last a while, decent grip. Another option would be someone selling their OEM tires after upgrading. Nothing really wrong with the Primacies.

Somewhere around the time it gets to the wear bars the wet performance goes out the window. My EC DWS' got loud first then they got scary in the wet so I shitcanned them.

I think they assume you can afford to buy their SUV as well.

Samsclub usually has a one day sale twice a year around May and November/December. They will have a sale on tires and free installation. This is usually the best deal on tires. They already had the May sale. The next one will be in November or December which will be about when I need a new set.
