there are a lot of companies that cnc from forged blanks. i have a set sitting in my house for sale right now actually.id be interested in seeing how these are made forged without cnc cutting though. would be pretty interesting and im assuming thats the process since they say only 3 companies do it

LEGIT

a lot of companies, big name and small ones, that claim forged wheels are usually forged faces with cast barrels (or was it the other way around? i forgot). true one piece forged wheels are rare and expensive.

That depends on your means, goals and priorities. Some would say a Porsche is too expensive for street use too. It's just their way of saying I can't appreciate or afford it, so therefore write it off.

Me, I put beautiful, lightweight, super strong wheels before tail lights, leds, fake carbon fibre and other such things.

They'll easily last as long as I keep the car and being top quality will retain a lot of resale value if you choose to flick them. I won't though. I'm a "Do it once, do it right" kind of person.

Thank you coyote. I am going to put in an order for these wheels because of you. :)

CCW, HRE, etc are machining forged ingots and barrels. While they are "forged" at the core, they are not of the same quality, strength, or weight of a 1 piece forged wheel.

Note that those "forged" wheels are typically 2 or 3 piece wheels, so that they can accommodate more designs and cars, and can do "custom offsets" by just using a different barrel.

I'm still shocked at the 14lbs!

Very impressive to say the least

My CE28N were manufactured in 2003. A little surface corrosion but no cracks or bends that I can see. I bet these wheels can last longer than the car.
