You risk detonation by using straight vodka. I would suggest mixing it with 50% orange juice.

Make sure you run a window switch as a lot of people have said. I'd run a window switch and throttle position sensor through an auxiliary control module such as the Garage 7 IPC unit.

I'd honestly go a little higher than 50hp shot. It's easy enough to do, and you'll NEED to log AFR when you're hitting nitrous to make sure your kit is adding enough/not too much fuel with the nitrous. Changing spark plugs would be the hardest job. Maybe reduce timing by 2 deg on WOT. I'd be running a different map for Nitrous on EcuTek.

Properly set up nitrous isn't cheap. Window switch, pressure gauge, purge system, wiring, bottle heater. All are essential for a safe running Nitrous system and all will run you quite high in price.

Thank you.. this is the kind of information I'm seeking, not shoulda bought this or that.. i know what I have. I know what I want. I just want to do it right. Seems to me running nitrous isn't any riskier than running water meth. If you have proper fail safes. And take the proper measures to ensure it's used proper I honestly think it is one of the best bangs for your buck. It certainly isn't the $500 a kit costs. But is still the 1/4 a cost of a average FI setup.

I don't need to have 275whp all the time. I truly enjoy driving the car spiritedly with the piwer it has, but like anyone else.. who doesn't enjoy a little more from time to time. I know where I sit in the food chain. I just think it would be fun to surprise someone from time to time when this little 200hp NA car goes full retard and we flip the MOOREE POWAHH SWITCH! Lol.

Do a I/h/e/t and call it a day. That's my setup and I freaking love it. No need to race v8s. If you really wana beat those ****heads, build your motor and drop a huge turbo. Yea it's costly but it's worth every penny

Don't throw a screwdriver into the works now.

Do you really think it is going to go "full retard" by flipping a switch?
You truly believe that all is needed is a $500 kit to turn you into Paul Walker?

Fast and Furious was a movie not a technical how to or a documentary.

You are in for a world of disappointment.

The thing with nitrous is it will generate more torque than a blower, and the rods are really weak on this engine.

If you're only looking at a 50 shot I think it would be cheaper and easier to do header/tune/E85 (assuming you can get E85). I'd just get the supercharger. You'll have a lower risk power that is available all of the time, make more power, and it will have good resale.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I'm not sure a switch is necessary in this case...

Given Paul Walker's current status, I'm pretty sure that goal could be achieved even without the $500 kit. I'm hoping, of course, that that is NOT the goal.

But it is a "MOOREE POWAHH SWITCH" or more accurately a button I guess. I have seen it used! You just push it once and your car doubles in speed instantly.

Or they will need to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings that get fried.

I'm curious if anyone has gone balls out with building a fully forged FA20 potentially a closed deck or sleeved setup and put a massive shot of nitrous in it. Surely some people making 700+ on well built FA20's they are strong enough to hold a good amount of torque. A 200 shot of nitrous would provide a lot of torque to our lacking motor and be potentially much cheaper than a turbo setup.

I'm thinking it would just require upgraded fuel pump to feed enough fuel to the rails and the wet nitrous plate but should be relatively simple to setup.

Or it could be the complete opposite I'm no nitrous expert.

Hopefully his manifold doesn't fall through the passenger's side floor!

EDIT: Looks like @Misfire beat me to it
